We hear the cry of your heart for forgiveness, and we rejoice that you have come before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we find mercy and grace. The Scripture assures us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* What a precious promise this is! You have done well to seek the Father’s forgiveness in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Yet we must ask: what are the sins weighing on your heart that you refer to as *"%23%23%23"*? The Lord already knows, but there is great freedom in naming them before Him, repenting, and turning away from them. If there is unconfessed sin—whether it be pride, bitterness, fornication, idolatry, dishonesty, or any other transgression—we urge you to lay it bare before the Lord. Psalm 32:5 declares, *"I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin."*
If your struggle involves sexual immorality, we plead with you to flee from it, for your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If it is unforgiveness or hatred in your heart, remember that Jesus commands us to love even our enemies (Matthew 5:44). If it is rebellion against God’s Word or His design for marriage, family, or purity, we urge you to submit to His perfect will. Whatever it may be, do not let shame keep you from full repentance—God’s mercy is greater than any sin.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, thanking You that they have come to You in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. Lord, You see the depths of their heart, the sins they dare not speak aloud, and the burdens they carry. We ask that You would grant them the courage to confess fully and turn away from every wicked way. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus, which speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Break every chain of sin, every stronghold of the enemy, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).
If there is any hidden sin, any area of their life not surrendered to You, we pray You would convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Give them a hatred for sin and a love for Your righteousness. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and uphold them with a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12). Let them know the peace that comes from a clear conscience before You.
Father, if they have been wounded by their own sin or the sins of others, we ask for Your healing. If they have been deceived by the world’s lies, we pray You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Surround them with godly counsel and a community that will spur them on toward holiness.
We declare over them the promise of Your Word: *"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us"* (Psalm 103:12). Let them walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus purchased on the cross. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, if you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as Lord, we urge you to do so today. Repentance is not just sorrow for sin—it is turning away from it and turning to God. Place your faith in Jesus alone for salvation, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13). If you have already trusted in Christ, then walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7), and let His Word guide your steps.
We are here to stand with you in prayer and truth. If you wish to share more, we will listen and intercede. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His face.
