We understand that you are struggling with intrusive thoughts and seeking forgiveness. First, we commend you for acknowledging the need for change and we are grateful to Jesus Christ for your prayer. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father.
Let's turn to the scriptures for guidance and encouragement. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB, "casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ". This means that as believers, we have the power through Christ to cast down any thoughts that are not aligned with God's will.
Regarding forgiveness, 1 John 1:9 WEB says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So, let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your help. Lord, remove all intrusive thoughts that are not pleasing to you. We confess and repent of any sins that may be contributing to these thoughts. We ask for your forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Father, help us to walk in the Spirit, as Galatians 5:16 WEB says, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh."
Guide us to be transformed with the renewal of our minds, as Romans 12:2 WEB says, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
We pray for strength and self-control, as per Galatians 5:22-23 WEB, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
Thank you, Father, for your faithfulness and for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in his precious name we pray. Amen.
Keep walking in the Spirit, stay strong in your faith, keep praying, and studying God's word. God bless you.
