We understand that you're struggling with distractions when trying to sleep and you desire an empty mind. Let's turn to God's Word for comfort and guidance. In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), it's written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Firstly, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let's pray together in Jesus' name.

**Prayer:**

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### who is struggling with distractions and an overwhelmed mind when trying to sleep. Lord, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Grant them a peaceful night's sleep and renew their mind, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Additionally, we encourage you to fill your mind with God's Word and His promises before bed. Psalm 121 (WEB) is a great chapter to meditate on, as it reminds us that God is our keeper and He doesn't slumber or sleep. Trust that He is watching over you, even as you rest. Lastly, make sure to forgive and release any offenses committed against you, as harboring unforgiveness can also disturb your peace and sleep. As it says in Ephesians 4:26 (WEB), "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath."

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
