We understand that you're seeking a peaceful day, free from stress and unhappiness, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that our ultimate source of peace and joy is Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can pray to God. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus and putting your faith in Him.
In dealing with others, we should remember that God calls us to love and forgive, even when others treat us poorly. “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 WEB. It's important for us to treat others as we want to be treated, showing them the love of Christ, even if they are evil to us. "But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I tell you now, as I also told you then, that people who do such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, seeking your peace and guidance for our dear friend. Lord, grant them a day filled with your joy and peace. Help them to remain calm and focused and not become worried about the behavior of others. Give them the strength to forgive and love those who may treat them poorly, following the example of Jesus Christ.
Father, help this person in their relationships with others. May they always show love and kindness to others, even when others are being unkind to them. Help them to set boundaries in their relationships and to avoid those who will have a negative influence on them or who will cause them to sin against you. Help them to look to Jesus rather than others for a sense of self-worth and value. Help them to look for a godly spouse if this is your will.
If there is any sin that is causing strife in these relationships, please forgive it and help them to turn away from it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to dwell on the words of Psalm 118:6-7 WEB: “Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Yahweh is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.” Trust that God is always with you, and that His love and support are constant, no matter how others may treat you.
