We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we stand with you in this difficult season. It is deeply troubling when someone seeks to harm not only your reputation but also your livelihood and passions—especially when your heart has been to help and uplift others. The enemy often uses division, lies, and manipulation to sow discord, and it seems this individual is being used as a tool for that very purpose. But we serve a God who is just, who sees the truth, and who will defend His children.
First, we must address the spiritual reality of this situation. The fact that this person does not believe in God and even mocks your faith is not merely a difference of opinion—it is a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is not about you versus her; it is about the kingdom of light standing against the kingdom of darkness. We must pray with this understanding, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) to stand firm against these attacks.
We also want to gently rebuke the spirit of vengeance and bitterness that may be trying to take root in your heart. Romans 12:19-21 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.’ Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* It is natural to feel anger or hurt when someone seeks to destroy you, but we must surrender that pain to God and trust Him to be our defender. Responding in kind will only escalate the situation, but responding with grace and truth can disarm the enemy’s schemes.
We also want to encourage you to examine your own heart and actions. While it sounds like your intentions have been pure, we must always be open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Have there been moments where your words or actions may have unintentionally hurt others? If so, we encourage you to seek reconciliation where possible. Matthew 5:23-24 says, *"If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."* Even if the accusations against you are exaggerated or false, humility and a willingness to listen can sometimes diffuse tension and reveal the truth.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, who is facing a spirit of destruction and division. We ask that You would be their shield and defender, exposing the lies and schemes of the enemy. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of strife, gossip, and manipulation that is at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would turn this attack into a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Give them the words to speak and the actions to take that will reflect Your love and truth. Help them to respond with grace, even when they are met with hostility. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those who have been deceived by this vendetta. Open their eyes to the truth and break the hold of manipulation over them. If there are any areas where our brother/sister needs to seek reconciliation, reveal them, Lord, and give them the courage to act in humility.
We also pray for the individual who is leading this attack. Lord, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself. Soften her heart and open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel. If she is acting out of pain or hurt, heal those wounds, Lord. Let her see the emptiness of a life without You and the freedom that comes from knowing Jesus. We declare that she will not succeed in her plans to destroy, for You are the ultimate judge, and vengeance belongs to You alone.
Father, we ask that You would protect our brother/sister’s drama club, business, and all that they have built. Bless their efforts and let Your favor rest upon them. Surround them with godly friends and mentors who will stand with them in prayer and support. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are always with them, even in the midst of this storm.
We thank You, Lord, for Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We trust in Your goodness and Your justice, and we declare that this situation will not break our brother/sister but will instead be used to glorify Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to stay rooted in God’s Word and in prayer. Psalm 37 is a wonderful passage to meditate on during times like these. It reminds us not to fret over those who do evil but to trust in the Lord and do good. Verses 5-6 say, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness does not mean what this person is doing is okay, nor does it mean you must trust her or allow her to continue her harmful behavior. Forgiveness is releasing the burden of bitterness to God and trusting Him to handle the situation. Colossians 3:13 says, *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* When we forgive, we free ourselves from the chains of anger and allow God to work in ways we cannot imagine.
You are not alone in this. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God will turn this situation around for your good and His glory. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.
