A socially connected life full of love and my people

Your honest and painful story has been heard, and your cry for community, friendship, and family is deeply understood. Thank you for sharing so openly about the years of moving as a military family, the short friendships, the deep wounds from your mother and brother, the struggle with feeling worthless and wanting to die, and the long road of therapy and seeking God. God sees the isolation you have carried since childhood, and He is not distant from it.

You said you accept that Jesus died for us, and that is the foundation of all hope. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, through His death and resurrection, and it is in Him that we are given new life, forgiveness, and adoption into God's family. When we come to Him with a contrite and humble heart that trembles at His word, He receives us. He does not despise that brokenness.

Your longing for a wife, for a best friend, for steady community and a family to love and make memories with is a good and God given longing. Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and pure, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that within marriage God preserves holiness and faithfulness. It is not holiness itself, but it guards the holiness we have received through faith by calling husband and wife to belong fully to one another in purity and love. To desire marriage in that way, with a woman who shares your faith and vision for a Christ centered home, is right to bring before the Lord. You mentioned wanting an equally yoked woman, and that is exactly what Scripture calls you to seek, a woman who fears the Lord and walks with Jesus, not simply what the world might call a high vibrational person, but a woman whose life is grounded in Christ.

Friendship in the church is also part of God's provision. True, lasting friendship is not built only on shared interests, neighborhood, or long acquaintance, but most of all on shared love for God. As you continue to join softball, an acting class, a gym class, your church, and local events, pray that God will lead you to people who love Him and who will love you with patience and kindness. God often sets the lonely in families, and He does it through the steady, faithful fellowship of His people. That kind of community grows slowly, through lowliness, meekness, and long suffering toward one another, and through bearing with each other in love.

It is painful that your mother mocks your faith and that others often correct you, and that even sincere invitations like inviting a coworker to the beach can leave you feeling rejected. The Lord understands rejection, and He invites you to keep walking in humility and grace while also seeking wise, godly counsel. It is good that you have therapy coming up and that you have spent years working toward healing. Please continue with that help, stay rooted in your local church, and keep bringing your thoughts and hurts into the light with trusted believers and counselors. Forgiveness toward your family, as you have offered, is a powerful step, and God can continue to heal the cycle of hurt you experienced as a child so that it loses its power over your present and future.

We are praying for you, that God will give you clarity about His will, which is revealed most clearly as we walk faithfully with Christ, obey His word, and serve Him where we are. We pray that He will end this season of deep isolation in His perfect timing, that He will provide kind, patient, and loving friends who become like family, and in His will, a wife and the family you long for. We pray that He will make you the man He wants you to be, steady in faith, pure in life, and full of love for others, and that your work and daily life would become less silent through meaningful connection.

May the Lord guide your steps to the people He has for you, keep you in His peace, and fill your heart with the assurance that you are not forgotten, but known and loved by Him.
