A Prayer for Protection from Jealous People (in-laws)

Father,
I pray that You would protect me and my family, my marriage, and my home and out assets and finances from the destructive force of jealousy.
Keep me safe from those who harbor envy in their hearts, and shield me from their harmful intentions. Shield my marriage, my finances, and my relationship.
Help me to walk in Your love and peace, and prevent jealousy from taking root in my life, in my home, and in my marriage, especially protect mine and my husband's union. Soften my husband's heart and let everything my sister-in-law and mother-in-law put out against me turn around and bless me and my marriage. Let no weapons formed against me, my family, and my marriage and my unborn child prosper, Lord. Let what enemies meant for evil backfire in their own selves and give me victory against their evil intentions, bringing them on their knees for repentance and come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Proverbs 14:30
“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”

Lord, help me to be free from the poison of envy, and protect me from those who are driven by jealousy. Let those that come against me, against my marriage, and family flee before me in several ways and work miracles in my marriage, in my husband's heart towards his wife and his children, Lord.
Lord, I ask for Your protection from the jealousy of others. Shield me, my marriage, and protect the union between me and my husband from any harm caused by jealous individuals, especially jealous sister-in-law name p####.
Fill me with Your peace, and help me to remain humble and grateful for the blessings You’ve given me.
I trust that You will protect me, my marriage, and the union between me and my husband meant to have according to Your will for my marriage from the harmful effects of jealousy and controlling manipulative in-laws in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, you said you have made me the head and bit the tail above only and not beneath. Lord, shut their manipulative power to hurt me or to bring confusion and have Your ways and give me victory. Let my marriage glorify You, save me from their wickedness, Lord, and bring conviction to them where they have no choice but to repent to You, begging for mercy and turn away from their evil ways, expose and disgrace them with their evil intentions and give me Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Watch over me and my family and even my unborn child and let Your love infold many blessings in my marriage, Lord. I lay my marriage in Your hands, claiming joy, peace, and unity that cannot be broken or destroyed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your marriage, your family, and your unborn child before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. The jealousy and envy of others, especially from in-laws, is a destructive force, but we know that God’s love and protection are greater. The Word of God assures us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord.

We rebuke the spirit of jealousy and envy that seeks to sow discord in your home. Jealousy is indeed a rot that corrodes the soul, as Proverbs 14:30 warns, and we pray that the Lord would shield you from its poison. We also rebuke any manipulative or controlling behavior from your in-laws, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that their schemes will not stand, and their words will not prevail against you. Instead, we pray that the Lord would turn their evil intentions into blessings for you and your marriage, just as Joseph declared to his brothers, "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good" (Genesis 50:20).

We lift up your husband and pray for his heart to be softened and aligned with God’s will for your marriage. May he be a godly leader in your home, cherishing and protecting you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). We pray for unity between you and your husband, that your marriage would be a testimony to God’s love and faithfulness. The Lord has promised in Deuteronomy 28:13 that you will be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God. We declare this promise over your life and your marriage.

We also pray for conviction to fall upon those who harbor jealousy and ill will toward you. May the Holy Spirit move in their hearts, leading them to repentance and a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Lord is just, and He will expose and disgrace those who plot evil, but He will also bring them to their knees in repentance if they turn to Him. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel and that they would experience the transforming power of God’s love.

Heavenly Father, we ask You to surround this family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill their home with Your presence, and let Your love overflow in their marriage. We pray for the protection of this unborn child, that they would grow in wisdom and favor with God and man, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). May this child be a blessing to their family and a testimony to Your faithfulness.

Lord, we lay this marriage in Your hands, claiming joy, peace, and unity that cannot be broken. We declare that what God has joined together, no man—or spirit of jealousy—can put asunder (Mark 10:9). Strengthen this couple in their faith, and let their marriage glorify You in all things. We pray for miracles in their relationship, for open hearts, and for a deepening love that reflects Christ’s love for the church.

We also want to gently remind you to examine your own heart, as the Lord searches the heart and tests the mind (Jeremiah 17:10). While we pray for protection from the jealousy of others, we must also guard against allowing bitterness or resentment to take root in our own lives. The Lord calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate evil, but we trust God to be our defender while we walk in love and humility.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with godly counsel and fellowship, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, You are our protector, our shield, and our strong tower. We ask that You would surround this marriage, this home, and this unborn child with Your heavenly angels. Guard them from the jealousy and envy of others, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Turn the evil intentions of their enemies into blessings, and let Your peace reign in their hearts.

Father, we pray for this husband, that You would soften his heart and draw him closer to You. Let him lead his family with wisdom, love, and godly strength. May his love for his wife reflect the love of Christ for the church, and may their marriage be a beacon of Your grace and faithfulness.

Lord, we ask for conviction to fall upon those who seek to harm this family. Expose their wickedness, and bring them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You for salvation. We pray that their hearts would be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, and that they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Fill this home with Your presence, Lord. Let Your love overflow in their marriage, and let joy and peace be their portion. Protect this unborn child, and let them grow in Your favor. We declare that this family will walk in victory, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We trust in You, Lord, and we know that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in this family. May their lives bring glory to Your name, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
