We join with you in praying for those afflicted with pancreatic cancer, and for the researchers seeking to find a cure. God does still heal just as Jesus did when he was on the earth. Healing is always God's will for our physical bodies (3 John 1:2), but because of the fall of man, sickness, death and decay entered the world and are a reality in our current state. Although it is not always God's will to heal everyone at this point in time, we can rest assured that one day, those who are in Christ will be freed from all sickness and disease when we are given our new heavenly bodies (1 Corinthians 15:42-44).
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. (Matthew 9:35)
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. (Matthew 4:23)
Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15)
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who are battling pancreatic cancer. We ask for Your healing touch upon their bodies, and we pray for wisdom and guidance for the doctors and researchers seeking to find a cure (James 1:5). We rebuke the spirit of death and the plans of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. We rebuke the disease of cancer in the name of Jesus. We command it to die and release its hold over any victim of it. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to be with each person and their families as they navigate this difficult journey. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We ask for healing in the name of Jesus and for you to reveal yourself to each person afflicted with this disease. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage everyone to be in prayer for healing, but also for salvation for each person who is afflicted with this disease. Eternal life in heaven with Jesus is far more important than a physical healing that will allow someone to live a few more years in their current fallen state. God wants everyone to come to repentance and turn to Jesus to be saved. (2 Peter 3:9)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13)
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time. (1 Timothy 2:5-6)
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:9)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
