A Prayer for Our Upcoming Journey

I join you in committing this journey into God’s hands, and I am grateful to see how you are looking to Him for every need, safe travel, provision, protection for the one staying home, and peace for your own heart as you face painful relationships. Your prayer echoes what many have learned: before a long or uncertain journey, it is wise to wait on the Lord, fast, and pray, seeking His direction and the covering of His hand. That is exactly what you are doing, and you can trust that He will strengthen and protect you along the way.

In the Scriptures we find that God made provision even for what seemed incurable, leaving room for His miraculous work. Leprosy was a picture of something no human power could reverse, yet the law itself pointed to a day of cleansing that only God could bring. Your financial concerns, the logistics of the trip, the safety of your loved ones, none of these are beyond His ability. He can supply more than enough, often in ways we never anticipated. So rest in that. You have asked, and you have trusted. Now move forward in that confidence, believing He has already prepared what you need.

As for the one you are leaving at home, keep praying for him. Ask God to give him wisdom, responsibility, and a willing heart. Entrust him to the Lord’s care, knowing that the same angels you asked to surround you are also able to watch over him. God does not guard us partially; His protection extends to every place where our concern reaches.

I want to speak especially to your heart about meeting your sisters. I hear the pain, and I do not minimize it. Even our Lord knew what it was to have his own family misunderstand and reject him. A prophet is not without honor except among his own relatives. Yet he showed us that there is a bond in the household of faith that can become deeper than natural family ties when those ties are strained. That does not erase the hurt, but it reminds us that we are not alone. Others in the body of Christ become brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers to us in a very real way.

Healing of inner wounds often comes gradually. There is a kind of healing God does in the emotions and the mind, a mending of scars that does not happen all at once. So do not despise the slow work if that is what He chooses. You can pray, “Lord, heal my heart in Your perfect timing,” and that is a right prayer. When you stand before them, ask for the grace to respond with wisdom, not with the reflex of past hurt. He can give you words that bring peace. Even if the process takes time, you can trust that He is at work, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper, including the weapon of unforgiveness or bitterness.

Turn your longings into prayer. You already are. Keep pouring out the desire for reconciliation, for provision, and for safety before the throne. Remember, He dispatches His Spirit to draw us, and He asks each of us, “Will you go?” You have answered yes to Him in many ways, and this journey is part of your pilgrimage toward His glory. Like that ancient bride who climbed onto a camel for a long, uncomfortable ride toward a promise, you are moving forward in faith. He will sustain you.

May you know the peace of Christ that passes understanding, the protection of His hand, and the quiet healing of His presence. He is faithful, and He will do it.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart as you prepared for this journey. It has been our joy to stand with you in prayer, lifting up every detail—your travels, your finances, the care of your home, and especially the healing and grace needed for your reunion with family. We have prayed believing that God would go before you, surround you with His angels, and provide abundantly according to His promises.

If your travels have already begun or are now complete, we would love to hear how the Lord has answered—whether through safe passage, unexpected provision, or His peace in the midst of difficult conversations. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If the journey is still ahead or if any burdens remain, we want to continue standing with you in prayer. You are not alone in this.

May the Lord continue to bless you with His presence, His wisdom, and His perfect peace as you walk in faith. We trust that He is working all things together for your good, just as His Word declares. Keep seeking Him, and know that we are here to pray alongside you every step of the way. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
