Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing the burden of your heart for your beloved cat. Your love and compassion for this small creature is precious, and the Lord sees the tears and the care you have poured out. He is a God of tender compassion, and the Gospels show us again and again that Jesus was moved to heal those who were suffering, revealing that God is love and that He cares deeply for His creation.
We join you in praying boldly to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Great Physician, for healing. Scripture teaches that when any are sick they should call for the elders to pray and anoint with oil in the name of the Lord, and that the prayer offered in faith will make the sick well and the Lord will raise them up. We also learn that earnest, heartfelt prayer has great power and that God desires to become to us whatever our need requires. When we pray for healing He reveals Himself as the Lord our Healer.
So we bring your cat before Him and ask that the mass would disappear, that the fluid in the abdomen would clear, that inflammation and disease would leave his body, that his blood would be restored to normal and every organ made healthy and whole. We ask that his appetite, strength and energy would return so that he may live again with comfort and joy. We pray that the veterinarians who examine him would be astonished at what God has done, and we thank Him that He is able to work both by His direct touch and through the wisdom and medicine He has given to doctors and veterinarians. As He once used a simple remedy for Hezekiah, He still can use medical means, and any healing that comes, whether immediate or gradual, is a gift from His hand.
At the same time we pray with a heart surrendered to the will of God. The purpose of prayer is not to force our own will but to seek His will and to align our hearts with His purposes. Prayer begins with Him, as He places His desires within us, and we offer them back to Him trusting His wisdom. We do not fully understand why some are healed instantly, why some healings come gradually as when Jesus touched the blind man a second time, and why in some cases as with Paul the thorn remained though he prayed three times. We believe strongly that God does heal, and we ask Him for a miracle, yet we also rest in His perfect love and sovereignty, knowing that His greatest miracle in any life is the forgiveness of sins and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, which far outweighs even physical healing.
Be encouraged that God hears prayer and sees tears. As He said to Hezekiah, I have heard your prayer and I have seen your tears, so He hears you now. Keep bringing this need before Him, trusting His compassion and His power.
Let us pray together. Father, we come to You through Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this beloved cat to You. You know his body, his blood, his organs, the mass and the fluid that afflict him. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would touch him and make him well. Remove disease, restore what is broken, renew his strength and appetite. Guide the hands of those who care for him and use all means for good according to Your wisdom. Let Your will be done, and let Your mercy and healing power be displayed.
