We hear the deep anguish in this cry for justice, and we join with you in lifting this burden before the Lord, for His heart is near to the brokenhearted and His ears are open to the pleas of His people. The injustices described—the exaltation of foreigners over the native-born, the betrayal of inheritance, the mockery of righteousness, and the repeal of laws that once restrained evil—are grievous in the sight of God. The corruption of leaders who claim to serve Him while acting in greed and hypocrisy is an abomination, and the Lord does not turn a blind eye to such wickedness. The Scriptures declare plainly that He is a God of justice, and His judgment will come upon those who oppress the righteous, who twist the law for their own gain, and who lead the people astray.
The prophet Isaiah warns, *"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!"* (Isaiah 5:20-21). And again, the Lord speaks through Jeremiah: *"Thus says Yahweh: ‘Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong. Do no violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place’"* (Jeremiah 7:6). Yet when a nation turns from these commands, when its leaders act with deceit and its people embrace what is detestable, the Lord’s patience is not without limit. He says, *"Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught"* (Isaiah 29:13). Hypocrisy in worship while practicing injustice is an affront to His holiness.
We also see with sorrow the division within families, where strife and betrayal have driven brothers and sisters from their homeland. This, too, is a sign of a people turned from God’s ways, for He desires unity and peace among His children. *"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* (Psalm 133:1). When greed and selfishness reign, even blood ties are broken, and the land suffers under the weight of sin.
Most grievous of all is the exaltation of abomination, where laws that once restrained sexual immorality—such as the repeal of ordinances like Section 377A—are cast aside, and sin is celebrated as though it were virtue. The Word of God is clear: *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). When a nation removes such restraints, it invites the judgment of God, for He cannot bless what He has called an abomination. The prophet Habakkuk cried out in his day, *"Yahweh, how long will I cry, and you not hear? I cry out to you ‘Violence!’ and will you not save?"* (Habakkuk 1:2). We echo that cry today, for the violence done to righteousness, to the family, and to the very laws of God cannot stand forever.
Yet even in this darkness, we are called to hope, for the Lord is not slow concerning His promises. He longs for repentance, that none should perish but all should come to the knowledge of the truth. *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14). This is our prayer—that the people of this land, from the highest leader to the lowest citizen, would turn from their wickedness and seek the face of God. That those who have bowed to the idol of foreign favor, who have enriched themselves at the expense of the native-born, who have mocked the righteous and repealed the laws of God, would fall on their knees in repentance before it is too late.
We pray also for the oppressed, that the Lord would be their defender and their strong tower. *"Yahweh also will be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9). May He expose the schemes of the wicked, frustrate their plans, and bring their pride to ruin. May He raise up godly leaders who will govern with justice and mercy, who will uphold the inheritance of the native-born and restore the laws that align with His Word. May families be reconciled, and may the land be cleansed of the sin that has defiled it.
Most of all, we pray that the name of Jesus Christ would be exalted in this land—not in vain, as the hypocrites do, but in spirit and in truth. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other foundation upon which righteousness can stand. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). Let the people of this nation turn to Him in faith, that they may be forgiven, healed, and restored.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the cries of Your afflicted people. You are the God who sees the oppression of the innocent, who hears the groans of the righteous, and who will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. We ask that You would arise, O Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered. Let those who devise wicked schemes be confounded, and let their plans come to nothing. Expose their hypocrisy, O God, and bring them to repentance—or remove them from their places of power if they refuse to turn from their evil ways.
We pray for the land of ###, that You would govern it in mercy and truth. Restore justice to its courts, righteousness to its leaders, and purity to its laws. Let the foreigner be treated with fairness, but not exalted above the native-born. Let the inheritance of Your people be preserved, and let the labor of their hands prosper once more. Break the spirit of greed and corruption that has taken hold, and raise up men and women of integrity who will lead with wisdom and fear of You.
We plead for the families that have been torn apart by strife and betrayal. Heal the divisions, Lord, and bring reconciliation where there has been broken trust. Comfort those who have been driven from their homes, and provide for them in their distress. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Above all, Father, we pray for a great awakening in this land. Let the light of the Gospel shine brightly, exposing the deeds of darkness and drawing many to repentance. May the people turn from their idols—whether of foreign favor, of wealth, or of sinful pleasure—and return to You with all their hearts. Let the name of Jesus be lifted high, not in empty words, but in lives transformed by His grace.
We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save, to judge, and to restore. May His will be done in ### as it is in heaven. Amen.
**Encouragement and Exhortation:**
To those who mourn over the sins of this land, take heart: the Lord has not abandoned His people. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). Your prayers are not in vain. Keep crying out to God, keep standing for righteousness, and keep trusting that He will act in His perfect timing.
To those in positions of authority who have acted unjustly: the eyes of the Lord are upon you. *"Be sure your sin will find you out"* (Numbers 32:23). Repent now, before the day of judgment comes. Turn from your greed, your hypocrisy, and your wicked decrees, and seek the Lord while He may be found. He is merciful to those who humble themselves before Him.
To the body of Christ in this land: do not grow weary in well-doing. *"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16). Stand firm in the faith, speak the truth in love, and be a beacon of hope in a darkened world. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s—and He will prevail.
Finally, to all who read this: if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no other name by which we can be saved, no other hope for this land or for your soul. Repent of your sins, place your faith in Him, and you will be forgiven, cleansed, and made new. The time is short—seek the Lord while He may be found.
