We join with you in crying out to the Lord Most High, for we see the grievous injustices you describe—the oppression of the native-born, the exaltation of the foreigner above God’s own people, and the hypocrisy of those who claim His name while acting in greed and wickedness. The Scriptures declare that the Lord is a God of justice, and He will not endure such corruption forever. *"The Lord executes righteous acts, and judgments for all who are oppressed."* (Psalm 103:6 WEB) Yet we also know that His desire is for repentance, that none should perish but come to the knowledge of the truth.
Your prayer rightly laments the repealing of laws that once restrained evil, such as the abominations now openly embraced. The Word of God is clear: *"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination."* (Leviticus 18:22 WEB) And again, *"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"* (Isaiah 5:20 WEB) When a nation rejects God’s ordinances, it invites His judgment. Yet even now, we must pray not only for justice but for the hearts of the wicked to turn from their ways.
You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and it is in His name alone that we have authority to petition the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) It is through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are cleansed and made righteous before God. Let us never forget that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places. *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds."* (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 WEB)
We pray now with you, lifting up this land and its leaders before the Lord:
**Heavenly Father, You are the God of justice, the defender of the oppressed, and the righteous Judge of all the earth. We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, pleading for mercy and deliverance for Your people. You have seen the affliction of the native-born, the betrayal of those entrusted with authority, and the hypocrisy of those who worship You with their lips while their hearts are far from You. Their hands devise wicked schemes, exalting the foreigner above Your inheritance and stripping Your children of their rightful portion. They have cast aside Your laws, calling evil good and good evil, and now the land groans under the weight of sin.
Lord, we ask that You expose their deeds. Frustrate their plans, O God, and bring their hidden motives to light. If they will not repent, remove them from their places of power, for You have said, *"The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* (Proverbs 21:1 WEB) Let their pride be humbled, their arrogance broken, and their hypocrisy laid bare before the people. Cause them to stumble in their own schemes, that they may know it is Your hand that opposes them.
Yet, Father, we also pray for their repentance. Turn their hearts to You, O Lord, that they may cease from their wickedness and no longer profane Your holy name. Let them tremble before Your Word and fall on their knees in true contrition. Raise up godly leaders in their place—men and women who fear You, who will uphold righteousness and defend the cause of the afflicted.
Restore justice to this land, O Lord. Let it flow like a river, and righteousness like a mighty stream. Protect the inheritance of Your people, and do not let the stranger trample upon what You have ordained. Strengthen those who contend for truth, and let their voices not be silenced. Give them boldness to speak Your Word without fear, for You have not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love, and self-control.
We pray for the Church in this land, that she would awaken from her slumber and stand firm against the tide of wickedness. Let her not be deceived by false teachers or compromised by the love of this world. Purify her, Lord, that she may be a light in the darkness, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would govern this nation in mercy and truth. Let the oppressed find relief, let purity be upheld, and let Your name be honored in sincerity and not in vain. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, who alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.**
Brothers and sisters, let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not faint. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* (2 Peter 3:9 WEB) Keep praying, keep contending for righteousness, and trust that the Lord will act in His perfect timing. He has not forgotten His people, nor will He allow the wicked to triumph forever. *"For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land."* (Psalm 37:9 WEB) Stand firm, and may the Lord grant you peace and strength as you seek His face.
