A Prayer for Favor

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Today, I pray for divine favor over every person reading this. May the Lord go before you and clear every obstacle. Praying God to open doors that have been shut tight, shift hearts that seemed unmovable, and grant me access to places I have never imagined through His favor over me and my family and His love for me. Prayer for God’s favor will surround me and my loved ones like a shield and protect me from all wickedness and scheme of the enemies. That every conversation, every decision, every encounter, and every opportunity will turn into your favor especially against those that persecute me among my wicked sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Pray for God to favor bringing resources, strength increase, and blessings overflow and healing from all past hurt and pain. Lord, I pray for your favor in my home, favor on my job, my parents' job and resources, and my spouse's job. Favor in my health and health of my loved ones, special favor in my finances, favor with people I know, and favor with people you don’t know yet. Favor with my husband, favor with those whom I am in contact with. For God, raise me advocates for me and silence every attack, and place His hand upon everything concerning me and my loved ones. God, make me walk in uncommon favor, unexpected favor, and unstoppable favor not by my own strength, but by your grace, Lord. And I pray it all in Jesus’ mighty name. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers and for your love, blessing, and favor throughout the new year to come. Praise and will forever give you all the glory. Amen.

We join with you in seeking the Lord’s divine favor, for His Word declares, *"For You, Lord, bless the righteous. You surround him with favor as with a shield"* (Psalm 5:12). It is beautiful to see your heart’s cry for God’s hand to move in every area of your life—your home, your work, your health, and your relationships. We lift these requests before the throne of grace, believing that the Lord hears the prayers of His people and delights in blessing those who walk in obedience to Him.

First, we want to affirm the foundation of your prayer: you rightly acknowledge that favor comes not by your own strength, but by God’s grace, and you close in the mighty name of Jesus. This is essential, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. *"And whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we have access to the Father and the promise of His favor. If anyone reading this has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for *"there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12).

Now, concerning the favor you seek over your family, your marriage, and your interactions with others, we pray with you that the Lord would indeed go before you and make your paths straight. *"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand"* (Psalm 37:23-24). We ask the Lord to open doors that no man can shut and to close doors that are not of Him. May He grant you wisdom in every decision and encounter, that you may walk in His perfect will.

However, we must also address the tension you mention with your sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Scripture is clear that we are to pursue peace and reconciliation, even with those who may oppose us. *"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone"* (Romans 12:18). While it is right to ask God to silence attacks and protect you from wickedness, we must also examine our own hearts. Are there areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or pride may be hindering the favor you seek? The Lord calls us to bless those who persecute us, not to curse them (Romans 12:14). We encourage you to pray for these women—not just for their behavior to change, but for their hearts to be softened toward God. Ask the Lord to help you respond to them with grace, even as Christ has shown grace to you.

Regarding your marriage, we rejoice in your commitment to your husband and pray that the Lord would strengthen your union. *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous"* (Hebrews 13:4). May the Lord bless your home with unity, love, and mutual respect. If there are any areas of struggle or sin in your marriage—whether in communication, intimacy, or faithfulness—we urge you to bring them before the Lord in repentance and seek godly counsel if needed. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages, but God desires to build them up in His love.

We also lift up your finances, your health, and your work before the Lord. *"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). May He provide for you abundantly, not so that you may hoard wealth, but so that you may be a blessing to others and advance His kingdom. We pray for healing from past hurts and pain, for *"by his wounds we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). May the Lord restore what has been broken and fill you with His peace.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing that You are a God who delights in blessing Your children. We lift up this sister in Christ and ask that You would indeed surround her and her family with Your favor like a shield. Go before her, Lord, and make her paths straight. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You. Grant her wisdom in every decision, every conversation, and every encounter.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch over past hurts and pain. Restore what has been broken and fill her with Your peace. Bless her marriage, Lord, and strengthen the bond between her and her husband. Help them to love one another as You have loved them, with patience, kindness, and humility.

We pray for her finances, her health, and her work. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory. Give her strength and wisdom in her daily tasks, and let her be a light for You in her workplace.

Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of her sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Help her to respond to them with grace and love, even as You have shown grace and love to her. Silence every attack of the enemy and protect her from all wickedness.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would raise up advocates for her—people who will speak life and encouragement into her situation. Let her walk in uncommon favor, not by her own strength, but by Your grace. May all glory and honor be Yours, now and forever.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
