A Prayer for Direction
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, on behalf of our anonymous friend, who is seeking your guidance and direction in their life. We thank you for the privilege of prayer and for the promise that when we seek your will, you will reveal it to us.
Lord, we ask that you grant our friend strength and wisdom as they navigate through the decisions and challenges they face. Your Word assures us in James 1:5 that if we lack wisdom, we can ask of you, and you will generously give it to us. We claim this promise for our friend, knowing that you are faithful to fulfill your word.
Father, we pray that our friend will have open eyes and ears to see and hear what you are showing and telling them. Help them to discern your voice amidst the noise of the world and to follow your direction with unwavering obedience. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:6 to acknowledge you in all our ways, and you will make our paths straight. May our friend trust in your guidance and surrender their plans to your perfect will.
We also pray for a deepening of their relationship with you, Lord. May they experience your presence and peace as they seek your will. Strengthen their faith and grant them the assurance that you are with them every step of the way.
In Jesus' name, we pray, believing that you will answer according to your perfect plan and timing. Amen.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
