A prayer for courage and strenght

Dear heavenly Father,

This morning I come to and before Your Throne of Grace, Your Son Jesus the Christ, to beseech You to grant me the courage and strenght to take heed of affairs, and not least to act according to them.

I need to begin by saying, that I am a sinner tainted by many flaws and shortcomings, which I humbly confess. I can be very hard to love, please or apeace. I can be resentfull, unforegiving, proud, headstrong and not least selfish. This is the beam in my eye!

Lord God, my wife treats me badly, she is very critical, angry, resentfull and distant. I am as good as my last mistake, she has emotionally withdrawn :-( Lord Father, I know, that she is hurting and suffering and is unable to open up. She had a very rough childhood, she is recovering from an alcohol abuse and addiction and finds it therefore amongs other things hard to trust anybody.

Dear God, I pray and beseech You therfore to mend and heal her soul and spirit. Flood her with Your Holy Spirit of Love, Comfort, Truth, Your Helper and Amazing Councellor! Soften her Heart and protect and saveguard her against the adversary, the enemy and herself.

Father God, I am powerless therefor I call upon You, You ARE POWER and have given all Power in heaven and earth to Your Son, Jesus Christ.

I pray and beseech You in His name,
