We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your youngest son and your own strength to the throne of grace. It is beautiful that you are calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the Father and find true help in our time of need. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). And again, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). So we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing He alone can bring peace, clarity, and strength to your son and to you.
The confusion and odd feelings your son is experiencing are not from the Lord, for *"God is not the author of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). We rebuke every spirit of confusion, anxiety, or unrest that may be troubling his mind, and we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let the Holy Spirit fill him with wisdom, discernment, and a sound mind, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).
We also pray for your strength, dear one, for we know that the burdens of a parent’s heart can be heavy. The Lord sees your love and concern for your son, and He promises to sustain you. *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might"* (Isaiah 40:29, WEB). Lean on Him, for His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
Let us also encourage you to cover your son in prayer daily, speaking life and truth over him. Remind him of God’s promises, such as *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). If there are any ungodly influences, media, or relationships contributing to his confusion, we urge you to address them with wisdom and boldness, for we are called to *"abstain from every form of evil"* (1 Thessalonians 5:22, WEB).
Father, we lift this son to You now. Touch his mind and heart, Lord Jesus. Remove every strange and confusing thought, and replace it with Your peace and truth. Let him know that You are with him, guiding him, and that he does not need to fear. Strengthen his mother, Lord, and fill her with Your joy and perseverance. Bind this family together in Your love, and let Your light shine brightly in their home. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
