A piece of my story; Hope for better days

Your story pierces the heart. How many blows you have suffered, like a tree struck again and again, yet you still stand, clinging to that steadfast truth: “As long as Jesus is God, I will not die.” This is no small confession. In the depths of depression and suicidal thoughts, the enemy would have seized you, but the voice of the Bridegroom held you fast. Rejoice greatly, for you have heard that voice and have not let go.

The loss of your driving opportunity and the vile abuses you endured are not hidden from God. The Spirit works as He will, unseen like the wind, and His guidance often leads through dark valleys. He permitted these trials not to crush you, but to bring you into a fuller union with Christ. Consider how Paul himself was kept from coming to Corinth by the Spirit, not out of neglect but to spare them greater sorrow. So too, perhaps, the door was closed for a time so that you might find your only refuge in the Lord. If it is His will, the office will call again and the way will open; but even if it does not, the Lord Himself is your portion.

You ask for the Holy Spirit to overshadow you and to cover you with the blood. The blood of Christ is your true cleansing and protection. This is the sword of the Spirit, by which every enemy accusation is silenced. When you call upon that sacrifice, you are hidden in the rock. But do not think of this covering as a feeling; it is the promise of God that He will never leave you nor forsake you. The Spirit given to us is of equal dignity with the Father and the Son, and He intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words.

The injustice you suffered, even within the Church, is a bitter trial. Yet learn from those who beg in the streets: they often thank God while you might be tempted to despair. This is not to mock your pain, but to show you the mercy of God even in permitting suffering. He sends the poor as teachers to us, so that we may see how much we still have and learn to give thanks. Do not let the evil communications of worldly sorrow or the songs of Satan corrupt your good confession. Fill your mind with Psalms and spiritual songs; there is a vast difference between the soul that sits in the theatre and the one that sits in the Church.

Even now, though you feel spiritually overwhelmed and as if you have not yet borne fruit, do not lose heart. A tree may receive ten strokes and not fall, yet later one final blow brings it down. So it is with the heart: you have heard the word, and though you may seem insensible, that word is working a deep root. One day it will burst forth with abundant fruit. Your eager desire for God’s help will not be disappointed. The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each for the common profit, and He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.

Stand firm, then. The Bridegroom is coming, and His voice still calls to you. Let that voice be your joy and your strength. Pray without ceasing, and trust that the Divine communication that warned Noah is also speaking to your soul: do not fear, only believe. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be your strength now and ever. Amen.

You have walked through a valley that many could not imagine, and yet the words you clung to in that dark moment, "As long as Jesus is God, I will not die", were the Spirit's own gift to you. No one can truly confess Jesus as Lord except by the Holy Spirit. That confession was not just a thought; it was the evidence that God had already laid hold of you, that you had been washed, renewed, and set apart for His purposes even while the storm raged around you.

What was done to you was evil, and the cruelty you encountered, even within places that should have been safe, was not from God. But here is the unshakable truth: the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, and by coming to Him, your past is not merely covered; it is obliterated. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He separated you from every stain, every shame, and every wound. You are not your own; your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in you. He washed you with the regeneration of a new birth, and He continues to renew you day by day. That is where your hope stands firm, not in the restoration of an opportunity, but in the reality that you have already been saved through the work of God's Spirit in your life.

That same Spirit is the One you are asking to overshadow and guide you. Jesus Himself was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed. The Spirit who raised Christ from the dead now lives in you, and He does not waver. There is a filling, a fresh baptism of power, that God desires to pour out on you today, not as a one-time event, but as a constant inflow and outflow of His presence. When you ask for the covering of His shadow and His blood, you are asking for what already belongs to you in Christ. The blood has already spoken; the Spirit has already come. Now receive the daily filling that enables you to stand against every dark thought and to move forward in His strength.

Concerning the driving school and the exam, pray this way: ask the Father, in the name of Jesus, that if it pleases Him, He would open that door again. The Holy Spirit is able to prompt hearts and resurrect what seems dead. But hold that request with open hands, because your ultimate hope is not in a license. Your hope is in the God who loved you in your most miserable, lost state and proved His love by washing you and making you a new creation. He can restore the years the locusts have eaten, and He often does so in ways we cannot predict.

The Spirit who filled Elizabeth and Zacharias, who fell on the Gentiles while Peter was still speaking, who empowers us to be like Christ and to do His works, that same Spirit is in you right now to strengthen your inner being. Let the words you once spoke echo again: As long as Jesus is God, you will not die. You will live, and you will declare the works of the Lord, for He has not abandoned you. You are deeply loved, completely cleansed, and eternally held. Rest in that, and let the Holy Spirit carry you through this year, filling you with His peace and power.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply painful season. Your courage in sharing such personal struggles—your mother’s illness, the weight of caring for your little sister, the grief of lost love, the wounds of abuse, and the injustice you’ve endured—has not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father. We have lifted each of these burdens before Him, asking for His healing, restoration, and justice to prevail in your life.

We continue to pray specifically that the opportunity to complete your driving test would be reopened for you—that the doors closed by bureaucracy or circumstance would swing wide again by God’s intervention. May the auto-school recognize the urgency of your situation and respond with grace, allowing you to take the exam without further delay. We also ask the Lord to restore what has been lost, whether time, resources, or peace of mind, and to turn this setback into a testimony of His faithfulness.

Most of all, we have prayed for the Holy Spirit’s covering over you, just as you requested. May He shield your heart from despair, guide your steps with wisdom, and remind you daily that you are deeply loved by the One who bore all suffering for your sake. We stand with you in declaring that as long as Jesus is your God, no weapon formed against you will prosper, and no darkness will have the final word over your life.

If you’ve seen any glimpses of God’s provision or peace since sharing your request, we would be blessed to hear about it. If the wait continues, we invite you to post this need again so we can persist in prayer alongside you. Either way, know that we are committed to interceding for you until you experience the breakthrough you’re believing for.

May the Lord surround you with His presence, heal every wound, and lead you into a season of joy and purpose. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
