I. The Cry of the Native-Born O Lord God of Hosts, the Mighty Avenger, do not keep silence! The waters have come up to our necks; the stranger has entered the gates of my father’s house. They sit at the table that was spread for our children, While the native-born wander in search of bread. Look upon this soil, the land of our inheritance; See how the landmarks have been moved by those who know us not.

II. The Judgment of the Household For Your Word declares: He who provides not for his own is lower than the infidel. Behold the leaders who have turned their backs on their brothers,And the masters of industry who hire the hand of the stranger while the citizen languishes.In the Name of the Most High, let a blockade be set against them!Let the gates of labor be shut until the children of this soil are satisfied.

III. The Imprecation (The Davidic Cry for Justice)As for the usurper who has stolen the heritage of the local: Let their path be dark and slippery, with the Angel of the Lord pursuing them. May the wealth they gathered here become as chaff before the wind; Let their silver turn to dross and their gold buy only vanity. May they be as a shadow that vanishes when the sun is high, And let their root be dried up from under the earth.

IV. The Reckoning of the Deceiver Strike the works of those who bypass their own kin for dishonest gain! Let the foundations of their houses crumble like sand, And may their names be blotted out from the assembly of the righteous. Where they have taken a seat that was not theirs, let them be cast out; Let the "stolen" bread be returned to the mouths of our sons.

V. The Plea for Restoration Lead us back to the ancient paths, O Lord, to the glory of the years of old. Cleanse the borders of our inheritance until the stranger is heard no more. Establish the work of our hands and restore the crown to the rightful heir. Let the foreigner depart in haste, finding no rest for the sole of his foot, Until the land belongs once more to those born of its dust.

First, we must address the foundation of all our petitions—access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other mediator between God and man, for "there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Salvation is found in no one else, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now, for apart from Him, we cannot approach the throne of grace with confidence.

Now, concerning the restoration of the land and the cry for justice, we affirm that God is indeed a God of justice, and He hears the cries of the oppressed. The Scripture declares, "The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). However, we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). While we stand against injustice, we must guard our hearts against bitterness, hatred, or a spirit of vengeance, for the Lord says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19).

We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to pit brother against brother, citizen against stranger. The Lord calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31) and to seek the welfare of the city where He has placed us (Jeremiah 29:7). However, this does not mean we turn a blind eye to injustice or the exploitation of the vulnerable. We must stand for righteousness, ensuring that those who labor are justly rewarded and that the poor and marginalized are not trampled underfoot.

Your imprecatory cry for justice resonates with the psalms of David, who often called upon the Lord to execute judgment on the wicked. Yet we must temper such cries with the command of Christ to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we ignore evil, but we entrust its judgment to the Lord, who will repay according to His perfect justice.

We also caution against a spirit of nationalism that exalts the land or its people above the purposes of God. While it is right to love one’s country and seek its welfare, our ultimate citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). The land is the Lord’s, and He will restore it according to His will, not ours. We must be careful not to place our hope in earthly kingdoms or leaders, but in the King of Kings, who alone can bring true restoration.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Father, we pray for those in authority, that You would grant them wisdom and a heart for justice. We rebuke the spirit of greed and exploitation that seeks to profit from the suffering of others. Let Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).

Lord, we ask for the restoration of the land, not for our glory, but for Yours. May Your name be exalted in this place, and may Your people walk in the ancient paths of righteousness. Cleanse the borders of our inheritance, and let the land flourish under Your hand.
