Thank you for sharing this need so honestly. We are praying with you for the inflammation in your colon to be gone and for complete healing and restoration.
Scripture gives us confidence to bring physical needs to Jesus. Matthew points back to Isaiah and says that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. When He walked on earth He showed power over sickness in many different ways. Sometimes He healed with a word, sometimes with a touch, and sometimes the healing unfolded gradually, as when He laid His hands on a blind man and his sight returned in stages before he saw clearly. Every way showed the same compassion and authority.
That reminds us that all healing is from God. Sometimes He heals in a moment in a way that can only be called a miracle. Sometimes He heals gradually through a process, and sometimes He heals through the natural processes He built into our bodies and through the help of doctors and treatment. That natural process is still divine, because He is the one who created the body and its ability to recover. We do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road. Even the apostle Paul prayed earnestly three times for his own affliction to be removed, and God answered with sustaining grace and a different purpose. Good people still face sickness, and it does not mean God has caused it or forgotten them.
So we pray for you with both faith and trust in His wisdom and love. We ask Him for what you have asked, that the inflammation would disappear and your colon would be made whole and healthy again, whether by His immediate touch or by a steady and full restoration over time. We also ask Him to give you peace, strength, and comfort while you wait, and wisdom for those caring for you. Above all we thank Him that the greatest healing He offers is the forgiveness of sins and new life through Jesus, which remains our deepest hope even as we ask for physical healing.
Let us pray. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this inflammation and this colon before You. You know this body intimately because You made it. You bore our sicknesses and infirmities on the cross. We ask in Your mercy that You would take away this inflammation and bring complete healing to the colon. Touch and restore what is inflamed and damaged, and bring it to full health and normal function. Give relief from pain, give rest, and give encouragement day by day. Guide every decision for care and use it for good. Above all, let Your will be done, and let Your presence be felt as strength and peace. We ask this trusting Your power and Your love. Amen.
