Beloved of All
Your request for prayer in this time of uncomfortable sickness has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.
We know how heavy it is when the body is afflicted. When the soul is diseased we often feel no pain, but when the body suffers even a little we are quickly distressed and seek every remedy. For this reason God in His wisdom often allows the body to be chastened so that the better part, the soul, may also receive healing. As Christ said to the man whom He had made whole, Behold, thou art made whole, sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. This is not to say that every sickness is a direct punishment for a particular sin, but it is a call for all of us to examine our hearts, to turn from sin, and to draw near to Christ who is the true Physician.
Therefore do not despair. If we bear what God allows thankfully, we show our trust in Him, and whether He restores health quickly or allows the trial to continue for a time, He will give the reward to those who endure with thanksgiving. Do not block the way of healing by trying to bear this alone. Come to Christ continually in prayer, listen to His word, receive His admonitions, and follow the counsel of faithful physicians for the body while seeking above all the health of the soul through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one who suffers in body and is wearied by disease. You know this affliction and the discomfort it brings. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would lay Your healing hand upon this person and grant recovery according to Your mercy and wisdom. Forgive sins, cleanse the heart, and heal both body and soul. Give patience to endure thankfully, strength to trust You in this trial, and hope that does not fail. Lead this loved one to walk faithfully before You, to turn from all sin, and to find wholeness in Christ. May Your will be done, and may You be glorified in healing and in sustaining grace. Amen.
