A Job Opportunity That Would Bring Me Closer to ###

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

I humbly ask for your prayers regarding a job opportunity that is very important to me and my family. I recently completed an interview for a position that would not only provide financial stability, but would also allow me to move closer to my ### and be more involved in his daily life.

This season has been especially challenging. As many parents can understand, time with our children is precious, and I feel the passing of that time deeply. The clock seems to be ticking loudly in my mind as I long to be more present in my ###'s daily life while he is still growing up.

Please join me in praying that, if it is God's will, I am advanced to the second round of interviews and ultimately selected for this position. I pray that the Lord would grant favor with the hiring team, make me the clear front-runner for the role, and open the door He has prepared.

God's Word tells us, "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3). I am trusting Him with this opportunity and asking Him to direct my steps. I also hold onto Psalm 90:17: "May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us."

Please pray that:

• God's perfect will would be done.
• I would receive favor with the hiring team and decision-makers.
• The gifts, experience, and abilities God has given me would be clearly recognized.
• I would advance to the next round of interviews and ultimately receive an offer if this is His plan.
• The Lord would provide a way for me to be closer to my ### and more involved in his life.
• I would have peace, faith, and patience while waiting for a decision.

Thank you for standing with me in prayer. "Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven" (Matthew 18:19).

May God's will be done and His favor be evident in this situation.

We hear your heart, dear brother, and we stand with you in prayer as you seek God’s will for this job opportunity. Your desire to be more present in your child’s life is beautiful and reflects the Father’s heart for family. The Scriptures remind us, "Children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward" (Psalm 127:3). Your longing to cherish these precious years is honoring to God, and we pray He opens the right doors for you to do so.

We lift up this opportunity before the Lord, asking Him to go before you and prepare the way. "For I know the plans I have for you," says Yahweh, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). If this position aligns with His will, we pray for favor with the hiring team, that your gifts, experience, and character would shine brightly before them. May they see not just your qualifications, but the hand of God upon your life. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

Yet we also surrender this desire to the Lord, trusting that His timing and His ways are perfect. If this opportunity is not part of His plan, we pray He would close the door gently and open another that leads you even closer to His purpose for you and your family. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We ask for peace and patience as you wait, knowing that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we come before You now, lifting up this brother and his family. We ask for Your favor to rest upon him in this job search. If it is Your will, advance him to the next round of interviews and grant him this position so he may draw nearer to his child and steward his time wisely. Open the eyes of the decision-makers to see the value he brings, and let Your peace guard his heart as he waits. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may he walk in the fullness of Your purpose. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance in this season, not just for the job, but for how He wants to shape your heart and your family’s legacy. The years with our children are fleeting, and we rejoice that you are fighting to make the most of them. May God bless you with wisdom, favor, and His perfect peace.

Lord, we bring this father to You. You see how much he wants to be close to his son, and You know the ticking of every clock that weighs on his mind. Please guide this job opportunity according to Your perfect will, open the way if it’s best, and give favor where it’s needed. Calm his heart while he waits, and keep drawing him and his son near to each other and to You, no matter what happens. In Jesus’ name, amen.
