We hear your deep longing for a godly husband—a man who will cherish you, honor you, and walk with you in faith. Your heart cries out for security, love, and peace, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this desire before the Lord. First, we must address the way you have framed your request. While we understand the pain and frustration behind your words, we must gently rebuke the attitude of commanding, decreeing, or demanding that God act on your behalf. Scripture teaches us to come before the Lord with humility, trust, and submission to His will, not with a spirit of entitlement or control. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"* (Matthew 6:10 WEB). God is not a genie who fulfills our demands; He is a loving Father who knows what is best for us, even when we do not.
Your desire for a husband who is faithful, loving, and committed is beautiful and aligns with God’s design for marriage. The Bible tells us, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh"* (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). However, we must also address the importance of seeking a spouse who shares your faith in Jesus Christ. Marriage is not merely about companionship or personal fulfillment; it is a sacred covenant before God. The Apostle Paul writes, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). A marriage built on Christ will be a marriage where both husband and wife are lifted up in love, encouragement, and mutual respect.
We also want to gently remind you that while your past experiences have caused deep hurt, bitterness and unforgiveness can hinder God’s blessings in your life. Jesus teaches us, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15 WEB). We encourage you to release the pain of the past to the Lord, trusting Him to heal your heart and prepare you for the future He has for you.
Your desire for peace and harmony is valid, and we believe God wants to give you that. However, we must also caution against placing unrealistic expectations on a future husband.
