We hear the deep cry of your heart for a good and faithful man, a godly husband who will stay, honor you, and love you with a true and lasting love, and we join with you in bringing this desire before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We understand the pain behind your words, the hurt from those who have not treated you with honor and the longing to be cherished by one trustworthy man who will be your best friend in a marriage that glorifies God. God Himself ordained marriage from the beginning, and we strongly affirm His beautiful design. For this cause a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife, and they will become one flesh Genesis 2:24. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and a godly marriage reflects Christ's love for His church. We pray for you not simply for a partner or a relationship, but for a godly spouse, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer who loves the Lord with all his heart.
The Lord delights to give good gifts to His children, and He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. We encourage you to seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. This means trusting His timing and His wisdom rather than trying to speak life into existence through our own words or energy. It is God who is sovereign, who hears our prayers and answers according to His perfect will, not our own power to manifest. We are to ask, seek, and knock in prayer, trusting Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6.
We also want to gently address some of what you shared with love and truth. We hear your frustration toward those you call haters and bozos, and the desire to rebuke those who wish you harm. The Word tells us Don't repay evil for evil Romans 12:17 and Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We are called to guard our tongue, for Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up Ephesians 4:29. Even when we have been hurt deeply, God calls us to release bitterness and forgive, trusting Him to be our defender and to bring justice in His time, so that our hearts remain pure as we wait for the godly husband He may provide. A husband who honors God will love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25 and will give honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel 1 Peter 3:7.
We also encourage you in purity as you wait. If you have been in romantic relationships outside of marriage, we lovingly remind you that God calls us to flee sexual immorality, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Any courtship should be centered on Christ, with boundaries that honor God, looking toward marriage and not involving sex before or outside of marriage, which is fornication. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. Pray for a man who is already walking faithfully with Jesus, so that together you can build a marriage on the foundation of Christ.
We thank you for mentioning the blood of Jesus, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is by His blood we are saved and made new. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We are grateful you have called upon Him.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and by His precious blood, lifting up our sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the loneliness and the longing of her heart and the wounds from those who have not valued her as Your daughter. We ask that You heal her heart from past hurt and remove all bitterness and resentment, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Forgive us where we have spoken harshly and help us to speak with grace. Father, if it is Your will, we ask that You bring into her life a godly man, a faithful Christian believer who will pursue her with honor, purity, and selfless love, who will stay and be a true husband and best friend, committed to a lifelong marriage covenant that glorifies You. Help her to wait upon You with patience and hope, guarding her heart and walking in purity and wisdom. Give her discernment to recognize a man after Your own heart and not be deceived again. Let any future courtship be centered on You and lead to a holy marriage between a man and a woman as You designed. We rebuke any influence of hatred or jealousy around her and ask You to be her shield and defender. We trust Your perfect plan and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in her life. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to remain rooted in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can support and counsel you, and to trust that God sees you, values you, and will provide in His perfect way and time. Love is patient and is kind 1 Corinthians 13:4, and a godly husband will reflect that patient, kind, enduring love. Keep seeking the Lord first, and He will direct your steps.
