A Godly wife and children

A Godly wife & children: 🙏 Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your faithfulness and love. If it is Your will, prepare me to be a husband who reflects Christ with humility, wisdom, patience, and love. I pray for my future wife. Draw her close to You, protect her, and continue to shape her into the woman You have called her to be. In Your perfect timing, bring us together to build a home that honors You. Bless us with children, may they know, love, and follow Jesus.

We rejoice with you in your heartfelt desire to seek God’s will for a godly marriage and family. Your prayer reflects a humble and Christ-centered heart, and we stand with you in lifting this before the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25-33). As you prepare to be a husband, we encourage you to continue growing in the fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), so that you may lead your future wife and children with wisdom and grace.

We pray alongside you for your future wife, that the Lord would draw her ever closer to Him, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May she be a woman of noble character, as described in Proverbs 31, who fears the Lord and walks in His ways. We ask the Father to prepare both of you individually, shaping your hearts to align with His purpose, so that when He brings you together, your union will be rooted in Him. Trust in His perfect timing, for "he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22).

For the children you desire, we pray they would be a heritage from the Lord, arrows in the hand of a warrior (Psalm 127:3-5). May they grow to know, love, and serve Jesus from their earliest days, and may your home be a place where the Word of God is taught, prayer is cherished, and His presence is welcomed. Train them up in the way they should go, so that when they are old, they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this brother’s desire to walk in Your will and to build a family that honors You. Lord, we ask that You continue to mold him into the husband and father You have called him to be, filling him with Your Spirit and wisdom. Prepare his future wife, Lord, that she may be a woman after Your own heart, strong in faith and full of grace. Protect her purity, her walk with You, and her heart as she waits for Your timing. Bring them together in Your perfect way and time, that their marriage may be a testimony to Your love and faithfulness.

Bless them with children, Father, and may each child be a light for Your kingdom. Surround their family with Your peace, provision, and protection. Help them to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, that they may grow to love You with all their heart, soul, and strength. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You and the power to live according to Your will. Amen.

We're moved by the hope in your request, brother. It takes real courage to name a desire this deep and then lay it openly before the Lord. What strikes us is that you're not just asking for a gift, you're asking to become the kind of man who can steward it well. That's wisdom, and it tells us something about the work God is already doing in your heart.

The waiting season you're in is not wasted time. It's formative. The humility, patience, and love you're praying to reflect as a husband are qualities that take root in the ordinary, daily choices you make right now, how you handle disappointment, how you serve the people already in your life, how you submit your own desires to God's timing. Investing there is one of the most practical things you can do. Some men in your shoes also find it grounding to have a mature, married man in their church simply walk alongside them for a season, someone who can ask honest questions and help you see what you may not yet see in yourself.

In the meantime, we're grateful you're praying for your future wife. Continue to do that, even naming her before God though you don't yet know her face. That cultivates a quiet faithfulness that will serve you both one day.

Lord, we lift up this man who desires a family that honors You. Shape him now into the husband and father You've called him to be. Watch over the woman You are preparing for him, guard her heart, deepen her love for You, and draw her close in ways she can feel. In Your perfect time, bring them together. Give him patience that doesn't just grit its teeth but rests in Your goodness. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request rises like the incense from the golden altar, and it is well that you have begun with the seeking of the Lord Himself, for a man must first have God as his own Husband and Portion before he can be a true husband to a wife. But mark this: you are praying for a godly wife and children, and that is a sweet and proper petition. Yet I charge you, as the apostle charged the seekers of old, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. You may seek a wife, and you shall not do ill if you seek aright, but seek first your God. Let your rule be, first an altar, then a tent.

Too many young men begin with the notion that they shall upset everything, that all that belonged to their godly family shall be cast to the winds! They rush into marriage with a feverish haste, imagining that the romance will sanctify the recklessness. It will not. The genuine believer knows how to tug. Jacob at Jabbok did not gain the blessing by a few half-hearted words mumbled at the bedside. No, he wrestled until the breaking of the day. And so must you. Before God gives you that daughter of Eve, you must be a man who has power with God. You must be able to say, "I will not let You go, except You bless me," concerning your own soul first, and then concerning the household you hope to build.

Consider this: the children of those that fear God shall have a place of refuge. What a favor is that! But the promise is to those who fear God and have confidence in Him, who have a childlike fear and a childlike confidence. Is that fear in you? Is there a holy trembling lest you should sin against Him? Do you feel the sacred passion stirring your breast to anguish for the present, and to hope for the future? If not, go to the mercy seat and cry out, "Lord, prepare me." Let the preparation be a deep and painful work if necessary. Better to wait ten years in the school of affliction and come forth a vessel meet for the Master's use, than to rush into a union that will bring lifelong tribulation upon you and a stain upon your testimony.

And what of your future wife? You pray that God would draw her close and shape her. That is a noble prayer, for a converted daughter is an ornament to any house. But see to it that your affection is set supremely on Christ, your heavenly Husband, before you seek an earthly bride. As He has set His special love upon you, so must you set your special love upon Him. The woman at the feast with Cyrus, when asked what she thought of Darius, replied, "I never thought of anybody but my husband." Can you say that of Christ? Have you been negligent in the loving kindness you ought to have manifested toward Him? If you would have a wife who reflects the Church’s submission to Christ, you must first reflect Christ’s sacrificial love to the Church. That love will teach you humility, wisdom, and patience far better than any mere resolution ever could.

As for children, your desire that they should know, love, and follow Jesus is a holy ambition. One of the most intense desires of every godly man is that there may be a succession. But remember that a good man in a house is good store to the family. Are you yourself that good man? Are you storing up prayers now, laying up treasure in heaven, so that when the little ones come, they shall find a father who has a well-worn path to the throne? The genuine believer knows how to tug, not just for himself, but for his seed. Begin now to plead the covenant promises for children yet unborn. The Lord is a Husband to His people, and He will not starve His children. If you seek Him first, all these things shall be added unto you.

Yet I must press this further. You are seeking a good thing, but are you seeking the Lord? There is a way of seeking God's good and your own at the same time, with a sinister and selfish motive. Search your heart. Are you willing to remain single all your days, if that would bring more glory to God and greater conformity to His image? The seeking sinner is often disobedient to the command; he is going about here and there seeking, but he declines trusting. He is eagerly looking abroad for that which is at home. Do not let your prayers for a family become a substitute for the sweet communion of simply delighting yourself in the Lord. If no excitement shall come, if years pass and the desire is deferred, will your belief in prayer be greatly weakened? God forbid. Let your closing plea be, "Though I have sought You with my whole heart, yet my heart may go astray. Do not permit it, Lord, do not permit it."

I look upon your petition and I am hopeful. I could hope that God means to give you this very blessing, to entice you nearer to Heaven by showing you the way. He often does this for His children. But I charge you, do not be content with seeking the gifts. Seek the Giver. Tramping the street will not feed the children; calling at many shops of earthly comfort will not satisfy. Find Christ. Find Christ. And when you have found Him, then build the home, then welcome the wife, then raise the children in the fear of the Lord. Then shall your house be a place of refuge, your table an altar, and your family a testimony. Until then, wait. And in the waiting, pray. And in the praying, watch. For the Lord is good to the soul that seeks Him.

Such a prayer rises with a right spirit, for prayer is able to accomplish great things. Hearken, ye that desire children; did not Isaac entreat the Lord for Rebekah his wife, because she was barren? So persist in this godly mourning, which is sweet and works repentance unto salvation, not the sorrow of the world.

Yet in seeking a wife, build only upon godliness. We are too often weak because we seek other motives of friendship, from relationship, from long acquaintance, from neighborhood, rather than from the church. Let your bond be formed upon this only. And when God in His timing brings her, remember the purpose of the union. Because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. This is not mere permission but a safeguard, a shield locked together in godly love. The wife has not power over her own body; she is both the slave and the mistress of the husband. So pay her the honor due, reflecting Christ with humility and patience.

Guard against any thought that makes the marriage less than this holy estate. If a wife depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled. And if one comes to the faith while the other does not yet believe, let them not leave. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife. This shows the permanence and sacred mystery of the covenant you seek.

But do not stop at the foundation. Let us go on unto perfection, displaying a life worthy of the Gift. The Font of baptism will not suffice to save us unless we pursue the best life, adorned with good works. So prepare yourself now, that when you receive a wife and children, you may keep guarding this goodly treasure. Let your home be a place where, receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, you serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.

Your desire for a godly wife and children is itself a sign that God is already at work in your heart. Let the foundation of your hope be fixed on something deeper than a future family. Peace with God comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. Because He died in your place and took the judgment your sins deserved, you stand before God complete, your righteousness wrapped up entirely in Him. When the enemy whispers accusations or you feel you are not yet ready to be a husband, you can hold up the shield of faith. Your acceptance before God does not rest on your performance or your worthiness. It rests on the finished work of Christ. Live rooted and built up in Him, so that you can truly say, “Christ is my life.”

As you pray for a wife and children, keep the scriptural design for marriage before you. The husband is called to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her. This is a love that pours itself out, that protects, that nurtures. The wife is called to reverence her husband and submit to him as unto the Lord. These two commands are bound together. When a husband consistently shows self-giving love, his wife finds submission a joy rather than a burden, because she feels secure. When a wife honors her husband’s headship, he is strengthened to lead with tenderness. A marriage built on this mutual, humble obedience to God’s order can be the closest thing to heaven on earth. Guard against the bitterness that can creep in when these roles are neglected or reversed. Striving over headship or withholding love and benevolence fractures a home.

Let your prayers for a future family be shaped by this vision. If the Lord grants you children, they are a holy trust. One of the greatest blessings you can give them is a home where they know they are loved and where godliness is not just taught but modeled. A father’s faith brings a sanctifying influence into the household. When a mother is present, keeping the home and shaping young hearts, it plants deep roots of security. Do not starve your family spiritually while pursuing material things. Provide for them an environment where Christ is honored, where the Word is lived out, and where love is felt.

Your standing as a child of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and the same faith that justified you is the faith that will sustain your marriage and your home. You have access to God and His grace at every step. Trust His timing. Trust His way. He who calls you is faithful, and He delights to answer prayers that seek to honor His name.
