We understand your concern and share your burden. It's indeed troubling when those who claim Christ intermingle with practices rooted in false worship. As you've pointed out, a fountain cannot yield both sweet and bitter water. We must be vigilant against the subtle infiltration of idolatry, even in forms that may seem innocuous.
We've been reminded of the Lord's command, "You shall have no other gods before Me" (Exodus 20:3, WEB). Yoga, despite its disguise as mere exercise, is inseparable from its Hindu spiritual origins. Its postures and breathing techniques were designed as acts of devotion to false deities. To participate in them, even superficially, is to entangle oneself with idolatry, which God abhors.
The apostle Paul warns us, "What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever?... Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:15, 17, WEB). As temples of the Holy Spirit, how can we engage in practices that honor demons? The Lord calls us to holiness, not compromise.
Yet, many today justify their choices with excuses like, "I only do the stretches" or "I don't mean it spiritually." But the Lord sees the heart, and even passive participation in such things opens doors to deception. If we love the world's ways more than God's truth, we make ourselves enemies of the cross.
We pray fervently for those blinded by the culture's lies, that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes to the danger they embrace. Father, convict Your people of the idolatry hidden in these practices. Break the chains of deception and draw them back to pure worship of You alone. Let them hunger for righteousness rather than the empty offerings of false religions.
To those who defend such things, we say: Will you choose the narrow path of obedience, or will you cling to the world's broad road? Repent, and turn wholly to Christ. There is no middle ground—only surrender to His lordship.
May the Church awaken to the call of holiness, rejecting every form of idolatry, no matter how culturally acceptable it may seem. Let us stand unashamedly for truth, even when it is unpopular. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray.
