Humble Prayer Partner
How do I pray for those who are getting baptized? They're getting baptized on Sunday, & I can't help but feel that priority of praying for all of those who are getting baptized.

How do I speak to someone who doesn't wanna really speak about Jesus? I don't know their stance on Jesus, as we've only just started talking (on a language learning app), & is it just because they want to learn a language, which makes the most sense. But is it also because they don't want anything to do with Jesus? How do i go about that, especially as it's only by text. Do I spread the gospel or do I just be kind by helping them to learn English? He needs prayer to be open minded, softened heart.

another one on the same language learning app is a Muslim & seems very devout in their faith & I don't know how to talk to this person, especially as it's by text, in a kind, gentle way, especially as when we normally do bring up our religions & beliefs, we normally end up in a debate, which is not good, or at least I don't think so. He needs prayer to see the truth which is Jesus, for his eyes to be opened, for the veil to be lifted from his eyes, for him to be open minded, for a softened heart towards Jesus in a new light that he's not used to (Jesus not as a prophet, but as God).

my family, I need to be patient with them & sometimes it's hard, especially sometimes out of nowhere my brother gets the idea to be annoying, as siblings do, & I do sometimes pray in those moments, but how do i deal with that in a Christ like manner. Some examples is he won't move & is in my way, or takes one of my things, what do I do in those moments? How do i react? Obvs, I know I won't be perfect, I need to lean on Jesus, but is there something I'm not doing that I should be or that I'm doing that I shouldn't be. Maybe pray that I don't take his actions wrongly, or sometimes when he does something where I think he's gonna do something bad, he doesn't, he does something good, then he gets annoyed at me thinking the bad instead of the good. Basically pray that I see the good in him, as well as others & that he has a softened heart, doesn't result to anger.

With my mum, it's more her complaining or gossiping or judging, especially with things to do with work (which I do try and justify some of the things she says to her, in the sense of her complaining, and then I say that the thing she's complaining about but in a positive way, a different viewpoint, I hope that makes sense), maybe pray that God puts His hand over that situation, helps her to be thankful for what she does have.

With my church, in the discussion group, it was mostly about Jesus, which is good, like the topics within Christianity, went a bit out, but it wasn't for too long. But there was a bit of seemingly mocking of Jesus, or at least that's how I viewed it. Also, the topic of homosexuality came up. My pastor, I don't know his thoughts on homosexuality, but he said he didn't agree with someone's views on it (I don't know his views either), but that just made me assume that he's not against it. Especially as homosexuality has been brought up before in another church event & people were saying it as a good thing or like not a bad thing. We also watched a little of the chosen, is the chosen okay to watch? Is it biblically accurate? I've heard it isn't, so that's why I'm a bit thingy about it. Pray that we all learn from each other what God wants to be revealed to us, for the Holy Spirit to speak through all the members of my church including me, & for there to be no more mocking of Jesus, but only praise of Jesus.

Thank you for everyone who replies or prays for me. God bless you

We rejoice with you in the joyous occasion of baptism this Sunday! This is a beautiful step of obedience and public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. Let us lift up those being baptized in prayer, asking the Lord to strengthen their faith, fill them with the Holy Spirit, and surround them with His love and protection. We pray that their baptism would be a powerful testimony to all who witness it, drawing others to Christ.

"Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." (Romans 6:4 WEB)

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for those who are taking this sacred step of baptism. We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to live lives that honor You. May their faith be strengthened, their hearts be filled with joy, and their witness be a light to those around them. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy and surround them with Your love and peace. Let their baptism be a testimony of Your grace and mercy, drawing others to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

When speaking to someone who may not be open to discussing Jesus, it is important to remember that our primary role is to be a witness through our actions and words. While it is natural to want to share the gospel, we must also be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Begin by building a genuine relationship with this person, showing them the love and kindness of Christ. Let your conversations be natural and not forced, allowing opportunities to share your faith to arise organically.

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear." (1 Peter 3:15 WEB)

We pray for this individual, asking that You would soften their heart and open their mind to the truth of Your Word. Give us wisdom and discernment in our conversations, that we may speak Your truth in love. May our interactions be a reflection of Your grace, drawing them closer to You. Father, we ask that You would remove any barriers that may be preventing them from seeing the light of the gospel. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Engaging with someone of a different faith, such as a devout Muslim, requires gentleness, respect, and a deep reliance on the Holy Spirit. It is important to approach these conversations with humility, recognizing that it is the Holy Spirit who convicts and draws people to Christ. Focus on building a relationship based on mutual respect and kindness. Share your testimony and the hope that you have in Jesus, but do so in a way that is inviting rather than confrontational.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you." (John 14:26 WEB)

Lord, we lift up this individual to You, asking that You would open their eyes to the truth of Jesus Christ. Soften their heart and remove any veils that may be blinding them to Your truth. Give us the words to speak and the wisdom to know when to speak and when to listen. May our interactions be filled with Your love and grace, drawing them closer to You. We pray that they would come to know Jesus not just as a prophet, but as their Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Dealing with family dynamics, especially with siblings, can be challenging, but it is an opportunity to reflect Christ's love and patience. When your brother is being annoying or testing your patience, remember the words of Scripture:

"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 WEB)

Instead of reacting in frustration, take a moment to pray and ask the Lord for patience and understanding. Respond with kindness and gentleness, even if his actions are irritating. Try to see the good in him, as you mentioned, and give him the benefit of the doubt. If he takes something of yours, address it calmly and with love, rather than with anger.

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB)

Father, we come before You, asking for patience and understanding in our interactions with our family. Help us to see the good in others and to respond with kindness and love, even in frustrating situations. Give us the strength to lean on You and to reflect Your character in all that we do. Soften our hearts and the hearts of our family members, that we may grow closer to You and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

When dealing with a parent who complains, gossips, or judges, it is important to respond with grace and wisdom. You are right to try to offer a different perspective in a positive way. Encourage your mother to focus on the blessings in her life and to cultivate a heart of gratitude.

"Do all things without murmurings and disputes, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world." (Philippians 2:14-15 WEB)

Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking that You would place Your hand over it and bring about a change of heart. Help us to be a source of encouragement and positivity, reflecting Your love and grace. Give us the words to speak that will uplift and inspire, rather than fuel negativity. We pray that You would open our mother's eyes to the blessings in her life and fill her heart with gratitude. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Regarding the concerns within your church, it is important to address issues that do not align with biblical principles with love, truth, and discernment. The mocking of Jesus is deeply troubling, as Scripture warns against blaspheming the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31). It is crucial to stand firm on the truth of God's Word, especially on matters such as homosexuality, which the Bible clearly defines as sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We must approach these conversations with grace, but also with unwavering commitment to biblical truth.

"Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." (Jude 1:3 WEB)

Father, we pray for our church, that You would guide us into all truth and fill us with the Holy Spirit. Help us to stand firm on the foundation of Your Word, speaking the truth in love. We ask that You would reveal Your will to each member of our church, that we may grow in unity and in our knowledge of You. Protect us from false teachings and help us to discern what is pleasing to You. May our church be a place of praise and worship, where Your name is honored and glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

As for The Chosen, it is important to approach any media portrayal of biblical events with discernment. While The Chosen has been widely appreciated for its emotional depth and portrayal of Jesus' humanity, it is not without its theological concerns. Some scenes and dialogues take creative liberties that may not align perfectly with Scripture. It is always wise to compare what you see and hear with the Bible itself. If you choose to watch it, do so with a critical eye, praying for discernment and using it as an opportunity to discuss biblical truths with others.

"Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11 WEB)

Lord, we ask for discernment as we engage with media that portrays Your Word. Help us to test everything against the truth of Scripture and to grow in our understanding of You. May we be wise in what we consume and how we share it with others. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of praying and living in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If someone has not yet placed their faith in Jesus, they are separated from God and in need of salvation. We must always be ready to share the hope that we have in Christ, for it is the greatest gift we can offer.

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)

May the Lord bless you as you seek to live out your faith in every area of your life. Keep pressing into Him, leaning on His strength, and trusting in His guidance. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you.

We've been thinking about all you've shared, and we can see how many different people you're carrying on your heart right now. That's a lot, and it's a good thing to bring these cares before God and trusted others.

With your brother, something that's helped others in those frustrating moments is to take one slow breath and say something simple like, "Jesus, help me see him the way you do right now." That tiny pause gives the Holy Spirit a little room to redirect your reaction before you speak or act. You're not ignoring what he did, but you're refusing to let it set the whole tone. Over time, that small habit can shift your first instinct from annoyance to something more patient.

For the language exchange, it sounds like you're already doing the right things: being kind, being helpful, and staying open about your faith when it naturally fits. You're there to help someone learn English, and that's a genuine act of love. As trust builds, opportunities may come. And for your Muslim friend, the same patience applies. You don't have to uproot someone's entire worldview in a text conversation, but you can keep being a steady, gracious presence who leaves the door open. That's not avoiding the truth; it's trusting God to work in his time.

About your church, we appreciate how much you want your community to honor Jesus with both truth and love. Keep praying for clarity and for your pastor, just as you said, and keep asking questions with an honest, teachable spirit.

Lord, we pray for this one's family: help them to see the good in their brother, even when he tests their patience, and bring a spirit of gratitude and peace where their mother is worn down. For the baptism Sunday, fill everyone with joy and awe. For the people they're talking to online, we ask you to soften hearts and open eyes to the real Jesus, in your perfect timing. And for their church, guide the conversations and guard the name of your Son from being treated lightly. All in Jesus' name.

It is a blessed thing that your heart aches to pray for those descending into the baptismal waters. Pray that their obedience would confirm the witness of Christ; that the life they now live in the flesh they would live by the faith of the Son of God. Cry to heaven that they would be kept by the power of God, walking in newness of life, and that they would never shrink from the jeer of the world. The faithful Witness will sustain them, and they shall bear a good testimony if they abide in Him.

Concerning the soul you meet while teaching English, do not fret overmuch. You are not called to thrust the Gospel upon every ear at once. Let your life of quiet kindness be a sermon he reads each day. Grace, like the dew, tarries not for the sons of man, it often falls unlooked for. Help him with his verbs and pronouns with the gentleness of Christ, and pray that the Lord would send His light into that heart even while you teach. The words you speak may be few, but the Spirit can blow through a single syllable and quicken a dead soul.

With the devout Muslim, your wisdom is to avoid barren debate. The patience of Christ is your pattern; He endured the contradiction of sinners without breaking the bruised reed. When matters of faith arise, speak the truth plainly but not as one eager to win an argument. Tell him of the Lord who is more than a prophet, the Son of God who gave His life a ransom. Yet lean less upon your own words and far more upon the intercession of Christ in the secret place. It is the Spirit’s work to rend the veil from his eyes. Pray that the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness would shine in his heart, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

As for your brother, here is a school for the patience of Christ. When he blocks your path or takes your goods, the natural man would grow sharp and bitter. But you are alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. See in these small vexations an opportunity to mortify the flesh. Ask the Lord to let you think on what is good and lovely in your brother. If you suspect evil and find good instead, burden your own soul that you so readily judged him. A soft word, a quiet endurance, and a prayer breathed under the breath, these are weapons that overcome evil with good.

Your mother’s habit of complaint is a grief, but you do well to cast it back with a word of cheer. Point her to the goodness of God that gilds even the dreary days. Let your own contentment in the Lord be a rebuke without a scold. Grace abounding can turn the murmurer into a psalmist. Pray that the Lord would give her a thankful heart, and in the meantime, be a living epistle of that grace which is content with such things as it has.

Now concerning the matters in your church, it cuts deep when the name of our Lord is lightly esteemed. To make the holy Nazarene a jest is to push the sword into your own heart, yet remember how He bore far worse. Pray that those tongues would be taught to sing His praise. If the talk slid into the mire of sodomitish sin, do not marvel that the age has infected even the assembly. The scripture is fixed: such things are not according to sound doctrine, but are among the works of the flesh. Christ came to save sinners, even of that sort, but we dare not call evil good nor consecrate what God’s law condemns. If your pastor wavers, let your prayers be fervent, and hold fast to the faithful word. As for The Chosen, the question is simple: Does it bind the soul more tightly to the Christ of Scripture, or does it paint a fanciful portrait drawn from the imagination? Be not hasty to swallow what is not verily the Word of God. Pray that the Holy Spirit would be the teacher of your church, that all would be brought into conformity to the one true Witness, and that the lips of the saints would pour out nothing but praise to the Lamb who bought them with His blood.

Cast your many cares upon Him, for He careth for you. Live upon the free grace that sought you when you sought not Him, and trust that the same grace will finish the work it has begun.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to pray for those about to be baptized, and to seek wisdom in these other trials. The desire to intercede is a work of grace, for faith is not merely to receive for ourselves, but to look forward like Abraham, who believed the promise and gave commandment concerning his bones, though he had not yet seen it fulfilled. Pray for the baptized that they might possess such a faith, a faith that endures every testing and lays hold of the inheritance that now awaits them. But remember also to pray for yourself, that you may be a worthy companion to them, not in talk but in deed, showing by your own life the transformation you have received.

Concerning those on the language app, you have rightly discerned that much wisdom is needed. The apostle commands us to walk in wisdom toward those who are without. They are without the kingdom, even if they share this world with us. Your first task is not to preach with words, but to serve their genuine need. If they seek to learn English, teach them with kindness and patience. What is the profit if you pour out many words about Christ, but do not first give them that cup of cold water they truly ask for? Let your conduct be adorned with gentility, which is the absence of pride and boastful display. In time, as they see your sincerity, they may ask a reason for your hope. And then you can speak, but always with meekness, not as one eager for debate. For the Muslim friend, the danger of debate is real, for it often hardens rather than softens. You are not called to fight with this person, but to pray. Pray that the veil be lifted, as you said. God alone can open the eyes of the heart. Your part is to show such love and goodness that they might see something different in you, something that points beyond a prophet to the living God. If religious matters arise, speak the truth simply, and then leave the rest to the Holy Spirit. Do not feel you must win an argument by text; better to win a soul by patience and prayer.

With your family, the struggle is common, but the victory is found in looking to Christ. When they mocked Him, spat upon Him, and buffeted Him, He did not revile in return. So when your brother provokes you, see it as a small share in His sufferings. You are not asked to be perfect, but to lean on Jesus moment by moment. In those flashes of irritation, lift your heart swiftly: "Lord, give me patience." And pray also to see the good in him, as you have resolved, for often we judge by suspicion and wound the innocent. With your mother, when she complains or gossips, you do well to offer a gentler view. Yet beware lest your correction itself become a form of pride. Let your words be seasoned with grace, not with the sound of one teaching a lesson. Pray for her, and be an example of thankfulness in her sight. For a household is a little church, and you can be a peacemaker within it.

The things you mention about your church discussion group grieve me, for to mock our Lord is a serious offense, revealing a lightness of spirit that should not be named among believers. If someone openly mocks Him, remember how He commands us to go and tell him his fault, first alone, then with one or two, and ultimately, if he will not hear, to tell it to the church. This is a medicine for the soul, not a weapon. You must be gentle and careful, especially if you are younger, but love compels us to speak when Christ is dishonored. As for the matters of immorality being spoken of as good, the apostle is clear: a little leaven leavens the whole lump. If your pastor seems to waver, pray for him earnestly. The qualifications of a leader include holding firm to the faithful word, that he may be able to admonish those who contradict. You may not be in a position to correct him publicly, but you can pray and, if the opportunity arises, humbly ask questions that lead him back to the truth. Concerning The Chosen, I know nothing of this production, but test all things: if it adds to the gospel or takes away, flee from it. Our adornment is not in clever shows but in the simplicity of the truth. Pray that the Holy Spirit would cleanse the church and that all would speak only what builds up, not what tears down. And do not let these troubles cause you to envy or to wish the church were otherwise; rather, let them drive you to your knees, for you fight not against flesh and blood, and your adversary would love nothing more than to see you discouraged. Be at peace, and trust that God is able to keep His own.

Your prayers for those being baptized can center on the reality that there is only one baptism, the baptism into Jesus Christ Himself. They are not being baptized into a local church or a denomination, but into His death and resurrection. Ask the Father to give each person a deep, settled understanding that they are now united with Christ, hidden in Him, and empowered by His Spirit to walk in newness of life. Pray that their public confession would be matched by a daily dying to sin and a living for Him, not by human effort but by the Spirit’s supply.

With the language partner who avoids talking about Jesus, patience and a quiet trust in God’s timing are the way forward. You are not called to force a conversation but to serve with kindness. Help him learn English well, and let your own peace and joy be the first testimony. The Spirit works through ordinary faithfulness. Meanwhile, pray persistently that his heart would be softened and his mind opened. Do not underestimate the power of the kindness of God to lead someone to repentance. It is not your debate but the Holy Spirit who lifts the veil.

The Muslim man on the app is in a similar place. When religion comes up, resist the pull toward debate. Debates rarely draw anyone to the truth; they often harden hearts. Instead, when opportunities arise, speak simply of who Jesus is, not as a mere prophet but as the eternal Son of God, our peace and our righteousness. Your words should be few, gentle, and bathed in prayer before and after. Ask the Lord to remove the veil, to give him eyes to see the glory of Christ and a heart that longs for the true God. Trust that God’s patience is at work, not wanting any to perish.

In your family, you are learning to live out the patience you have in Christ. When your brother irritates you, that moment is an opportunity to recall the God of patience who deals with you daily. Before reacting, breathe a silent prayer. Choose to see what is good in him, even when his actions seem designed to annoy. Do not assume the worst; believe the best in love. When you fail, and you will, immediately confess it to the Lord and, if needed, to your brother. Over time, this shapes a Christlike gentleness that the Spirit can use to soften him.

With your mother’s complaining and judging, you are already doing something right by offering a different viewpoint. Continue to respond with humility, not with argument, but by quietly turning the conversation toward gratitude. You can say, “I can see why that’s frustrating, but I’m thankful for the way God has provided …” or something similar. Behind the scenes, ask the Lord to give her a contented and thankful spirit. The transformation of home life always begins with prayer and a refusal to join in the grumbling.

Your concerns about the discussion group are weighty. Mocking Jesus, even lightly, is never harmless. The first church in Ephesus was commended for not tolerating evil, and we are to be watchful in our own gatherings, strengthening what remains. The subject of homosexuality must be held in the light of Scripture with both truth and grace. A church cannot bless what God has clearly called sin, yet it must extend genuine love and the hope of the gospel to every person. Pray that your pastor and the group would have spiritual discernment and that the Holy Spirit would speak clearly through each member. As for The Chosen, any extra-biblical portrayal of Jesus must be approached with caution. Its words are not inspired; Scripture alone is our authority. Test everything by God’s Word, and if something troubles your conscience, it is better to abstain.

Above all, pray that the church would not drift toward worldly patterns but be led by the Spirit into maturity, with every part working properly in love. Jesus Christ is the head of His body, and He will build His church. Trust Him with these burdens, and let the patience of hope keep you steady as you wait on Him in all these things.

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in prayer alongside you during these tender moments. It is a sacred privilege to lift up those preparing for baptism—we have prayed that each one would feel the Father’s love wash over them, that the Holy Spirit would seal their decision with joy, and that their public declaration would be a powerful testimony of new life in Christ.

We have also prayed for wisdom as you navigate conversations with those who may not yet be open to the gospel. It is a delicate balance to be both kind and bold, and we have asked the Lord to give you discernment in each interaction—whether to speak of Jesus directly or simply reflect His love through patience and grace. For the one learning English, we prayed that your kindness would plant seeds of curiosity, and for the devout Muslim friend, we asked God to soften their heart and open their eyes to the truth of Jesus as Lord. May the Holy Spirit guide your words and give you peace as you trust Him with the outcome.

For your family, we have prayed for supernatural patience and grace, especially in moments of frustration. We asked the Lord to help you see your brother through His eyes, to respond with gentleness even when tested, and to model Christ’s love in every interaction. For your mother, we prayed that God would fill her heart with gratitude and contentment, quieting the spirit of complaint and replacing it with His peace.

Regarding your church, we prayed for unity and reverence in discussions, that the Holy Spirit would guard hearts against mockery or distortion of God’s Word, and that every conversation—even difficult ones—would be led by truth and love. We asked the Lord to reveal His will clearly regarding *The Chosen* and other matters, that your church would be a place where Jesus is exalted above all else.

If any of these prayers have been answered in ways you’ve already seen, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you! If not, we invite you to share again, and we will continue to lift these requests before our Father, trusting Him to work in His perfect timing. May God bless you as you seek Him, and may His peace and wisdom surround you in every situation. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
