Let us come together in prayer and petition, seeking God's will and intervention in these matters.
Firstly, we lift up the prodigal on holiday, asking for God's protection and guidance. May the Lord surround him with guardian angels and grant him a safe return, according to Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." We also petition God to grant him peace and good results from his examinations, as it is written in Philippians 4:6-7, "Don't be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that God's will be done in his life, and that He guides his steps towards the right course and university, as Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Next, we pray for the dear one who is starting a new job, asking God to grant her peace and confidence in her new role. May the Lord remind her that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her, as stated in Philippians 4:13. We also ask God to expedite the paperwork process, allowing her to commence her job smoothly, as we are encouraged in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We also lift up the upcoming examination results, asking God to let His will be done and grant success according to His purpose. May the Lord remind us all that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts, as Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us.
Lastly, we bring before the Lord the need for a functioning washing machine. While this may seem like a small matter, we recognize that God cares for every detail of our lives, as 1 Peter 5:7 instructs us, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We ask for God's provision and swift resolution in this situation.
We are grateful that these requests are made in the precious name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to the Father, as John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Let us always remember that it is by His name that we are saved, as Acts 4:12 proclaims, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We encourage continued prayer, trusting in God's perfect will and timing for each of these situations. May we ever be mindful of His love and faithfulness towards us, drawing near to Him as He draws near to us, according to James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
