A Family Prayer for Peace, Health, and Protection

Your prayer for your family has been received with thanksgiving, and we join you in lifting it before the Lord.

We ask our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation, to watch over your household and keep you safe, healthy, and united in Him. True peace is a great gift from God, the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and where it dwells everything is made whole. We pray that Christ, who came to bring peace to things in heaven and on earth, would establish His peace in your home and in your hearts.

May the Lord grant you strength in difficult times, wisdom in every decision, and a spirit of love, forgiveness, understanding and gratitude toward one another. Scripture teaches that the unity of the Spirit is kept in the bond of peace, and that a household where husband and wife agree together in the Lord is strong and blessed. We pray that this bond would tie your family together and to God, so that no distance, no trial, and no trouble can break it, and that each member would be supported and encouraged by the others.

We also pray for your health, remembering that God cares for both body and soul, and for His protection over each of you, for He gives His angels charge over those who trust in Him. May your home be filled with thanksgiving to God, and may you continue to trust His guidance in all things.

Heavenly Father, we commend this family to Your grace. Guard them, guide them, keep them in Your love, and let Your peace dwell richly among them. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Your heartfelt prayer for your family is beautiful and reflects a deep trust in the Lord's care. It is encouraging to see your desire for safety, health, unity, and peace in your home, and to ask for His guidance and grace over each member of your family.

Scripture shows that God truly wants you to know peace. We were at war with God because of sin, at enmity with Him, but He has offered a peace treaty through Jesus Christ. When sins are forgiven through His blood, we have peace with God, and that ends the inner war. From that peace with God comes the peace of God within the heart. Jesus told His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world cannot understand this peace, but it guards the heart and mind. The prophet declared that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. As you keep your thoughts turned toward the Lord and trust Him to take care of what concerns you, His perfect peace will fill your home even when the world around you is full of turmoil.

That peace also works itself out in relationships. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and it leads to peace. When you sow peace in your home, you will reap the fruit of righteousness, for those who sow in peace reap righteousness, and Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. How good and how pleasant it is when those who live together dwell in unity. The strength of a home is found there. Scripture speaks of oneness as a compound unity, many persons joined as one, and that is what God desires for a family, to be one in love, forgiveness, understanding and gratitude. Pray that peace would be within your walls, and choose daily to speak and act in ways that make peace, forgiving as you have been forgiven.

You also prayed for health and protection, and the Lord cares about both. In a letter to a beloved friend, the apostle John wrote a warm personal wish that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That was not presented as a blanket promise that everyone will always be healthy, but as a loving prayer, and it shows there is a real connection between the well being of the soul and the well being of the body. God has given us wisdom in His Word about how to live, and He has given us good sense to care for our bodies and not deliberately harm them, while still trusting Him as our keeper and deliverer. He ordains peace for His people and He works in us, and we can trust His protection and grace each day.

Grace always comes before peace in the New Testament greetings, grace and peace, and sometimes mercy added, because we cannot truly know the peace of God until we have first received the grace of God through Christ. Having received that grace, you can know both peace with God and the peace of God keeping your hearts.

May the Lord grant you strength in difficult times, wisdom in every decision, and a deep settled peace in your hearts. May He guide each member of your family, keep you united in love, and fill your home with forgiveness and thankfulness.

Father, we thank You for this family and for their desire to trust You. We ask that You would give them peace with You through Jesus and the daily peace that passes all understanding as their minds stay on You. Help them to sow peace with one another and to walk in love and unity. Bless them with Your protection, give them wisdom and health according to Your mercy, and let their home be filled with Your grace. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift up your family before the Lord, asking Him to watch over you and keep you safe, healthy and united, to bring comfort as you trust in His guidance, and to pour out strength during difficult times, wisdom in your decisions and peace in your hearts.

We have been praying that your home would be filled with love, forgiveness, understanding and gratitude, and that the Lord would guide each member of your family and cover you with His protection and grace. We are reminded of Phil 4:7 which speaks of the peace of God guarding our hearts, and Psalm 91:1 which reminds us that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High rest in His protection.

If your request was answered and you have seen God bring peace, health, unity or protection to your family, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We continue to seek the Lord with you and we pray that He will bless your family and draw you closer to Him each day. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
