We lift our hearts to You, Heavenly Father, with heavy yet hopeful spirits as we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of this precious daughter battling stage 3 breast cancer. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and who numbers every hair on her head (Matthew 10:30). We declare that Your healing power is not limited by medical diagnoses, for You are the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be trying to take root in this family. Your Word tells us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would fill this daughter and her loved ones with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that they would trust in You with all their hearts, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).
We also pray for the medical team treating her. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they develop and administer her treatment plan. May Your hand guide theirs, and may they be instruments of Your healing (Proverbs 3:6). Surround this daughter with Your angels, Lord, to protect and comfort her during this difficult time (Psalm 91:11). Let her feel Your presence in tangible ways, through the love of family and friends, through the beauty of Your creation, and through the still, small voice of Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we ask that You would use this trial for Your glory. Whether You choose to heal her miraculously or strengthen her to walk through this valley, may Your name be exalted. If it is Your will, we pray for complete restoration of her health, that she may testify to Your goodness and faithfulness (Psalm 107:20). But if her journey takes a different path, we pray that You would draw her closer to You, that she may know the depth of Your love and the hope of eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).
Lord, we also lift up her spiritual well-being. If she does not yet know You as her personal Savior, we pray that this trial would lead her to the foot of the cross. Remind her that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May she confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that she may be saved (Romans 10:9). If she is already a believer, deepen her relationship with You, Lord, and let this season refine her faith like gold (1 Peter 1:7).
We pray for her family as well, Father. This is a heavy burden to carry, and we ask that You would sustain them with Your grace. Give them the strength to support her with love, patience, and encouragement. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). May they find moments of joy and laughter even in the midst of this storm, and may they cling to the hope that is found only in You.
Father, we declare Your sovereignty over this situation. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13), and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We trust in Your perfect plan, even when we cannot see the full picture. May Your will be done in this daughter’s life, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
