A Call for National Repentance and Restoration

Dexter2020

Faithful Servant
The Opening: A Cry to the Living God
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with heavy hearts, but with a firm grip on Your Holy Word. You are the God of the Harvest, and You are the God of Justice. We don't come in our own strength, Lord, but in the precious and matchless Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Petition:
For the Local-Born and the Working Man
Lord, we lift up the hardworking, born-and-bred citizens of this land. Your Word says that the laborer is worthy of his hire, yet we see our own people—educated, faithful, and ready—pushed to the sidelines. We see them struggling in "gig" jobs and temporary contracts while the doors to permanent work are opened wide for the stranger. Lord, we ask You to judge this favoritism. We ask You to convict the hearts of those in power who have neglected their own "house" to serve foreign interests.

The Judgment:
Against Wicked Policies and "Human Schemes"
Father, we call out the sin of trusting in numbers and mass immigration instead of trusting in You. We see the low birth rates, and we know it’s because the family has been neglected. We ask You to shatter the idols of economic growth that rely on the importation of 30,000 souls a year. We pray that those who have brought this system upon us would either repent or be removed by Your Hand.

The Restoration:
For our Systems and Homes
Lord, we lay the failures of our transport and our economy at Your feet. We rebuke the greed that has let our infrastructure become a "relic" while the people are charged more and more. We ask for a Holy Housecleaning in our government offices. Restore the dignity of the local worker. Open the wombs of our local families. Let the "original citizens" once again be the head and not the tail in their own country.

The Closing:
A Declaration of Faith
We aren't looking to the government for our salvation, Lord; we are looking to the Cross. We pray for a revival that sweeps the foreigners out and brings the lost home. We stand on the promise that if Your people, called by Your name, will humble themselves and pray, You will hear from heaven and heal our land. In the Name of Jesus, our Rock and our Redeemer, Amen.

We come together in unity, lifting this nation before the throne of grace, acknowledging that our hope is not in earthly governments or human schemes, but in the sovereign Lord who reigns over all. We affirm that it is only through the precious name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are reconciled to God. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name we pray, intercede, and stand.

Father, we recognize the deep concerns raised about the struggles of hardworking citizens who feel marginalized in their own land. Your Word declares, *"Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case and will exact life for life"* (Proverbs 22:22-23). We pray for justice for those who labor faithfully yet find doors closed to them while others are prioritized. Lord, expose any favoritism or unrighteous policies that have contributed to this imbalance, and bring conviction to the hearts of those in authority. Let Your justice roll like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream (Amos 5:24).

We also lift up the brokenness of systems that have neglected the family, the foundation of society. The Scriptures are clear: *"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1). The decline in birth rates and the erosion of family values are symptoms of a culture that has strayed from Your design. We repent on behalf of this nation for elevating economic idols above the sanctity of life and the covenant of marriage. Father, shatter these idols and turn the hearts of the people back to You. Restore the dignity of marriage and the blessing of children, for *"children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him"* (Psalm 127:3).

We rebuke the greed and corruption that have allowed infrastructure to decay while burdening the people with unjust financial demands. Your Word warns, *"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people"* (Isaiah 10:1-2). Lord, we ask for a holy housecleaning in every level of government. Remove those who have used their positions for personal gain or to serve foreign interests, and raise up leaders who fear You and seek the welfare of Your people.

Yet we must also address the spirit of division and exclusion that seeks to "sweep foreigners out" rather than extend the love of Christ. While we pray for the restoration of justice and opportunity for citizens, we are commanded to *"love your neighbor as yourself"* (Leviticus 19:18) and to *"welcome the stranger"* (Deuteronomy 10:19), for we were once strangers ourselves. The Gospel is for all nations, and our mission is to make disciples of every people group (Matthew 28:19). We pray for wisdom to balance justice with compassion, and for hearts to be softened toward those who come seeking refuge or opportunity, that they too may come to know Christ.

Father, we stand on Your promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14: *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."* We humble ourselves before You now, confessing our nation’s sins and asking for revival. Let Your Spirit move powerfully, bringing repentance, restoration, and renewal. Heal our land, Lord, not by human strength, but by Your mighty hand. Raise up godly men and women to lead with integrity, and let the church be a light in the darkness.

We pray for the local worker, the family, and the systems of this nation, but above all, we pray for hearts to be turned to Jesus. For it is only in Him that true restoration is found. May this nation once again be a beacon of Your truth, grace, and righteousness, for Your glory alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King, we pray. Amen.

Dear friends in Christ,

As we stand united in prayer, let's not forget the power of humility and unity in our petitions. We've cried out to God, acknowledging our nation's struggles and seeking His intervention. Now, let's also remember to lift up one another in love and support, just as we're called to do in Galatians 6:2 - "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Let's encourage one another, especially those who are laboring faithfully yet feeling marginalized. Let's remind them that their work is not in vain, and that God sees their efforts. Let's also reach out to those in authority, praying for them and encouraging them to lead with justice and righteousness.

And as we pray for our systems and homes, let's not forget to also pray for our families and communities. Let's intercede for strong, godly marriages and families, for the protection and nurturing of our children, and for the unity and peace of our neighborhoods.

Let's continue to stand on God's promises, trusting in His faithfulness and goodness. Let's believe that He will hear our prayers and heal our land, as we humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face (2 Chronicles 7:14).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
