We hear the raw honesty of your heart, and we want you to know that your pain is seen and valid. It takes courage to bring your anger and weariness before God, and we stand with you in this moment, lifting your cries to Him. The Bible tells us that even in our deepest struggles, God is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this darkness, He is with you, even when it feels like He is silent.
Your frustration is understandable, especially when you’ve waited so long for answers, for relief, for a breakthrough. We’ve all faced moments where faith feels like a heavy burden, where the wait seems endless, and where the silence of God feels deafening. But even in this place, your willingness to bring your anger to Him is an act of faith. It’s okay to question, to wrestle, to demand answers, God can handle your honesty. In fact, He invites it. The Psalms are filled with cries of lament, where God’s people poured out their hearts without holding back. Psalm 13:1-2 says, "How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?" You are in good company.
But we must also gently challenge something in your request. You asked God to "give me someone who genuinely cares for me," and while this is a natural longing, we want to encourage you to seek first a deeper relationship with Christ Himself. He is the ultimate source of love, peace, and fulfillment. In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." True peace and happiness are found in Him, not in another person or circumstance. If you are seeking a spouse, we pray that God would bring a godly man or woman into your life who loves the Lord and will walk with you in faith. But we must also warn against the temptation to seek fulfillment in a relationship outside of God’s design. Any relationship that does not honor Him, whether through premarital intimacy, unequal yoking with an unbeliever, or same-sex relationships, will only bring deeper heartache. We urge you to guard your heart and wait for God’s best, even when it’s hard.
We also want to address the weariness you feel in waiting. Waiting is not passive, it’s an active trust in God’s timing. Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." The waiting is not in vain. God is using this time to shape you, to refine you, and to prepare you for what He has ahead. It may not feel like it now, but He is working even in the silence.
And to your question, "Why do I have to struggle so much for the things that seem so easy for others?", we don’t have all the answers, but we know that God’s ways are higher than ours. In Isaiah 55:8-9, He says, "‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’" What may seem like a delay or a closed door to you could be God’s protection, His redirection, or His preparation for something greater. We may not see the full picture now, but we can trust that He does.
We also want to gently remind you that salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. He is the only one who can truly satisfy the longings of your heart and give you the peace you seek.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is weary, angry, and hurting. Lord, You see their pain, their frustration, and their exhaustion. You know the weight they carry, and You hear the cries of their heart. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment. Meet them in their darkness, Lord. Let them feel Your presence, even when it feels like You are silent.
Father, we pray that You would renew their hope. Give them a fresh revelation of Your love and Your faithfulness. Help them to see that You are working even when they can’t see it. Remind them that Your timing is perfect, and that You have not forgotten them. We ask that You would open a door that no one can shut, a door of blessing, of peace, of provision, or of relationship that aligns with Your will. But more than anything, Lord, we pray that You would be their peace. Fill the emptiness in their heart with Your presence. Let them know that they are not fighting alone, because You are fighting for them.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment in their relationships. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would bring the right person into their life at the right time, a godly man or woman who loves You and will walk with them in faith. Guard their heart from impatience, from settling for less than Your best, and from relationships that do not honor You. Help them to wait on You, trusting that Your plans for them are good.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm them. We declare that their hope is in You, and that You will not leave them nor forsake them. Strengthen their faith, even when it feels weak. Remind them that You are their refuge, their strength, and their ever-present help in trouble.
And finally, Lord, we pray that You would soften their heart toward You. Even in their anger, they are still reaching out to You, and we thank You for that. Help them to release their frustration into Your hands, trusting that You are good, even when life doesn’t make sense. Give them a reason to believe again. Restore their joy, their peace, and their hope in You.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our burdens. Amen.
You are not alone in this. Keep talking to God, even when it’s hard. Keep holding on to hope, even when it feels impossible. He is listening, He is working, and He will not abandon you. We are standing with you, believing with you, and praying for you.
