A boy told his mom to get child support from his dad. She is owed back child support. The boy has been asking his mom to start applying for the back child support payments because his dad has been working off and on.

The Bible teaches that parents have a responsibility to provide for their children. 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB states, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." However, it's crucial to approach this matter with a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, rather than contention. Matthew 18:15 WEB advises, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother." Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this family to You. We pray for the boy and his parents, asking that Your will be done in their lives. Lord, we know that it is the responsibility of parents to provide for their children, and we ask that You work in the heart of the father to fulfill his obligations.

We also pray for healing and reconciliation in this family. Help them to approach this situation with love, understanding, and forgiveness, rather than strife. Guide the mother as she seeks to do what is best for her child, and give her wisdom and discernment.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
