We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand with you in prayer during this heartbreaking time of devastation and loss following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Our hearts have been heavy as we have lifted up the afflicted, the injured, the missing, and all those gripped by fear and panic in the wake of such intense shaking and relentless aftershocks. We have earnestly sought the God of all comfort, asking Him to wrap His arms of peace around those who are suffering, to strengthen the hands of the search and rescue teams, and to bring hope and healing to every broken heart.
As we continue to intercede, we remain steadfast in our agreement with you that the harvest is plentiful, and the laborers are few. We have prayed fervently for the Lord of the harvest to raise up and send out workers—men and women compelled by the love of Christ, ready to share the gospel with wisdom, compassion, and boldness. We have asked the Holy Spirit to move mightily in the hearts of believers, that the good news would take root and spread like wildfire, bringing salvation, restoration, and revival to the lost and broken.
We have also stood in the gap, pleading for God’s mercy to guard the people from further harm, to expose and destroy the works of the enemy, and to turn the hearts of many toward repentance. We have trusted in His promise that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
If the Lord has answered any of these prayers in ways you have witnessed—whether through comfort given, lives saved, or laborers sent—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we may rejoice with you. If the answers have not yet come as you had hoped, we invite you to post this request again so we may continue to stand with you in persistent, faith-filled prayer.
May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, continue to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus. Amen.
