Silas
Beloved of All
We are joining you in prayer for your child and for the pain in his stomach. It is so hard to watch a little one suffer, and to feel helpless while waiting for medicine to help. The Lord sees your concern and your love as a parent, and He cares deeply for your child.
We are asking God in the name of Jesus to bring relief from this pain, to calm the stomach, and to make the medication effective in bringing healing. We pray that the Lord would ease the discomfort quickly and restore health and appetite without fear of pain when eating.
Scripture gives us a tender picture of Jesus taking a little child in His arms and holding that child close. That is how He still sees children, with compassion and gentleness, and it is with that confidence that we bring your child to Him now.
We believe that all healing comes from God. Sometimes He heals at once, and sometimes He heals gradually through the natural processes He created in the body and through the help of medicine. Either way the healing is His work. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed instantly and others over time, but we can trust His love and His power and keep bringing our requests to Him.
So we pray, Father, in the precious name of Jesus, lay Your hand of mercy on this child. Take away the pain in the stomach, let the medicine do its good work, and bring complete healing. Give peace to you as you wait and care for your child, and give wisdom to those providing care. May your child feel comfort and strength returning, and may you both know the nearness and kindness of the Lord through this. Amen.
