We join you in lifting up this player before our heavenly Father in this painful and frightening time and we ask the Lord to be near to him and to his family and medical team. Our hearts are moved by the severity of this injury going from a broken foot to a compound fracture of the leg and facing emergency surgery, and we bring his pain and fear and need for healing to the One who is our great physician. We are reminded that Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and that Jeremiah 30:17 declares But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 which says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we bring this young man before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and nurses and all who care for him, grant them wisdom and skill and steadiness. We ask that You would calm his pain, ease his fear, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind. We pray for a successful surgery, for protection from infection and complications, for bones to mend properly and for a full and swift recovery according to Your will. We ask that You would comfort his family and teammates as they wait and worry, and that You would use this trial to draw him close to You. We pray that even in suffering he may know Your presence and Your strength, for James 5:15 reminds us the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We thank you for bringing this request to us and we want to gently encourage you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. We noticed your request did not mention Him, and we want to share how precious this truth is. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into relationship with God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him and to bring every need to God in Jesus name, for He loves you and hears you.

We will continue to keep this player in our prayers for complete healing and restoration, trusting the Lord to work for his good. May the Lord grant patience in the long recovery ahead, and may this young man come back stronger and give glory to God for His mercy and healing power.

Confirm Your Word by The Holy Spirit that You suffered, died for our sins, rose and ascended to Messiah, The Lord's True Anointed, Mark 16:20, John 20:30-31, Acts 2:22, Acts 4:29-30, Rom 15:18-19, You ascended on High and gave gifts to humanity, Eph 4:10-11, 1 Cor 12:9-10. Help us get our lives and message correct, 1 Tim 4:16, and confirm the Word with gifts, signs and wonders, as it is written, "This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was then confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 and was affirmed by God through signs, wonders, various using miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will," Heb 2:3-4.

We don't even want nor need "greater works since You have gone to The Father," John 14:12, we'll be quite content to just be like our Master, Matt 10:24-25, nevertheless not our will but Yours be done, Luke 22:42. Your request for this injured player has been heard and we join you in bringing him before the throne of grace at this hour of great pain and urgency.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for healing. How much more then should we carry such a suffering one to the great Physician Himself. We pray that the Lord will be near to him in the hospital, that He will guide the hands of the surgeons in this emergency work, that He will calm the pain which must be so severe with such a fracture, and that He will grant mercy in the operating room.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing but the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. May that healing virtue flow down to this wounded man. As the prophet has said, the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick He showed that pardon and healing are in His hands to give.

We pray for the pain to be calmed and for a full recovery, and we ask the Lord to give patience in the days ahead. You may crush in a moment but you cannot so speedily cure, and the man that has been laid upon a bed of pain does not at once run and leap as before. Physical strength is a desirable blessing, and we ask the Lord to restore it step by step, and that with each increase of strength there may be new cause to give thanks to Him who governs all things without violating the nature of the creature He has made.

Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. May this player know that contact with Christ brings healing, and may those who watch and wait with him find comfort in knowing that the Lord healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds.

We pray, O Father, in the name of Jesus, look in mercy upon this player in his suffering. Ease his pain, prosper the work of those who seek to set and heal his leg, guard him from further harm, and raise him up again in Thy good time to full health and strength. And grant to him and to all who love him a deeper sense of Thy presence and Thy saving grace. Amen.
