Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. Your request for mercy regarding dialysis, for help in your struggles, and for the safety of your children, family and friends has been lifted up in prayer.
I want you to know that God hears and cares deeply about each of these needs. When it comes to healing, the Scriptures show us that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes it was instant, sometimes it was gradual, sometimes with a touch, sometimes only with a word, sometimes from a distance. There is no single pattern He is bound to, and that reminds us that He is sovereign and personal in how He works.
The Bible also teaches that all true healing is from God. He has built healing processes into our bodies, and those natural processes are no less divine because He is the one who created them. At times He brings complete physical restoration in a moment, at other times He works gradually through the body's own recovery and through the wisdom and care of doctors and treatment, and at other times He brings a deep healing in the mind and emotions, bringing peace to wounds and fears even while the body is still struggling. Any of these ways is His work.
Matthew points us to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses as well as our sins, and we see Jesus going about healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people, showing His power in the physical realm and His authority in the spiritual realm. We believe God is still able to heal today, and we pray for that with confidence. At the same time we acknowledge humbly that we do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others are not. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his affliction to be removed and learned that God's grace and purpose were at work in a different way. It would be wrong to say that a lack of healing is always due to a lack of faith or some failure on your part. We simply trust the Lord's wisdom and love while we continue to ask Him for mercy.
So we are praying that the Lord would be merciful to you concerning dialysis, that He would touch your body according to His will, guide every medical decision with wisdom, and use whatever means He chooses to bring strength and health. We are also asking Him to meet you in your struggles with His presence, to give you wisdom for each step and to let His love prevail in every difficult situation, helping you to respond even to adversity with kindness and hope.
For your children, family and friends, we are praying that God would bless and keep each one safe, that He would watch over them, draw them close to Himself, and surround your home with His protection and peace. The bond of God's family is a precious gift, and we pray that you would know His nearness as your true source of security and comfort.
May the Lord encourage your heart as you wait on Him, give you peace that passes understanding, and make His healing power and keeping care known in your life in the way He knows is best.
