Sister Healing

How great is the power of prayer, and how abundant the mercy of God, when we approach Him with a sincere and loving heart. The gift of healings, as the Apostle teaches, is a true work of the Spirit, though it is given to some and not to all. Yet do not grieve if this gift seems absent from any one person, for the Lord Himself holds all power in His hand. He who made the kidneys can command them to function again; no physician, no treatment can do what He does in a single moment.

I join my prayers with yours, pleading that the Creator of every organ and every member restore your sister’s health completely. Let us not doubt, for often when many remedies have been applied and no benefit appears, suddenly the mercy of God shines forth and effects an entire cure. Do not cease to cry out to Him day and night. Even if at times the answer tarries, persevere, for the Lord is testing the love and steadfastness of your faith. When He sees that your hope remains unshaken, He will grant what you ask, far beyond what we can imagine.

Only let us approach with humility, knowing that His will is perfect, and that whatever He ordains is for eternal good. Let your sister’s body and soul alike be offered to Him, that if it be His pleasure, she rise from that bed and leave the machines behind. I trust in His loving-kindness. Let every one of you who hears this hold her in prayer, for the prayer of many united in love has great strength. May the Lord grant a full healing to your sister, and through it, may His name be glorified.

Thank you for trusting us with this request. It is a heavy thing to watch a sister tethered to dialysis, waiting for kidneys to do what God designed them to do. But we bring this need before the Father who formed those very organs, the one who knows every cell and every process within her body.

When you read through the Gospels, you see Jesus healing people in all sorts of ways. Sometimes a single word was enough. Other times he touched someone, or even made mud and placed it on a man’s eyes. Once he healed in stages, first partially, then fully. There was no rigid pattern. That tells me something good: the Lord is not limited to our expectations. Healing may come in a moment, or it may unfold gradually as the body is restored. Either way, it is his doing. The natural restorative processes our bodies already possess are themselves his design, and when those processes kick in and kidneys begin to function again, that is no less a divine work than an instantaneous miracle.

I do not pretend to understand why some are healed and others not. Even the apostle Paul pleaded three times for his thorn to be removed, and the answer was no. Yet the same Jesus who bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, as the prophet Isaiah declared, still moves with compassion today. That truth gives us strong ground to ask boldly for total healing. We can pray for her renal function to be fully restored, for the numbers to shift, for the toxins to clear, for her to be released from that machine, and we do so knowing that this lies within his power.

In the Gospels, many reached out and touched the edge of his cloak. That point of contact was where their faith became active, not a passive belief, but a reaching, a releasing. I pray that right now, in her heart and in yours, there would be that same active trust. Not whipping up emotions or chasing after a show, but a quiet, steady confidence that God can do this. Whether he does it instantly or over time through the hands of doctors and the body’s own recovery, he is the source.

So we stand with you, asking the Father to do what only he can do. We ask for a complete healing of her kidneys, for all traces of failure to be reversed, for her to step away from dialysis entirely. And while we wait, we pray for her spirit, that she would be upheld, that the scars of fear and discouragement would be mended inwardly even as we seek outward restoration. Thank you for carrying her to the Lord. You are not alone in this asking.
