We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother in prayer. The fear of losing a parent is profound, and we understand the deep love you have for her. First, we want to encourage you to seek immediate medical attention if you haven’t already, these symptoms should not be ignored. God has given wisdom to doctors and medical professionals, and we pray for clarity and skill for those who may care for her.
Father, we ask You to watch over ###’s mother this very night. If these symptoms are indeed signs of a stroke or any other health concern, we pray for Your healing hand to intervene. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We ask that You would restore her health, strengthen her body, and calm any fear or anxiety she may be feeling. Lord, we know that Your Word declares, “By His stripes, we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over her life tonight.
We also lift up ###, who is carrying this burden of worry. Lord, comfort her heart and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Give her peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as she trusts in You. Help her to cast her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her mother’s life, or even in ###’s, we ask that You would bring it to light and grant repentance and restoration. Your Word tells us that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and we stand in agreement for healing and protection.
Lord, we also want to gently remind ### that our ultimate hope is in You. While we pray fervently for her mother’s earthly life to be preserved, we know that our days are in Your hands (Psalm 31:15). If it is Your will to call her home, we ask that You would prepare ###’s heart for that day, though it is painful to consider. Help her to trust in Your sovereignty and to find comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed. If ### or her mother have not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as Lord and Savior, for “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for hearing our prayers. Amen.
