Beloved of All

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours as you share the deep pain and betrayal caused by your sister’s actions. The Bible tells us, "A man’s enemies will be those of his own house" (Micah 7:6 WEB), and it grieves us to see how this truth has manifested in your life. The hurt of being stolen from, used, and betrayed by someone who should have been a source of love and support is a heavy burden to carry. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s justice, protection, and healing for you and your family.

First, we must address the seriousness of the sin that has taken place. Theft, deception, and exploitation are clear violations of God’s commandments. Exodus 20:15 (WEB) states, "You shall not steal," and Leviticus 19:11 (WEB) adds, "You shall not steal; neither shall you deal falsely, nor lie to one another." Your sister’s actions are not just harmful, they are sinful before God, and they must be confronted with truth and repentance. We rebuke the spirit of deception and manipulation that has taken root in her life, and we pray that God would break the chains of greed, selfishness, and dishonesty that have led her to hurt you and your family.

We also lift up your husband in this situation. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant, and husbands and wives are called to love, honor, and protect one another (Ephesians 5:25-33 WEB). If there has been any enabling or complicity in your sister’s behavior, we pray that God would convict his heart and bring him to a place of wisdom, discernment, and godly leadership. A husband is called to be the protector of his home, and we ask that God would strengthen him to stand firm against any unrighteousness that seeks to invade your family.

Your fear is understandable, but we want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). You are not powerless in this situation. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We pray that He would raise up godly people in your life, friends, family members, pastors, or even authorities, who can step in to help you set boundaries, seek justice, and find restoration. Proverbs 31:8-9 (WEB) says, "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." We ask that God would give you the courage to speak up and seek the help you need.

For your children, though they are grown, we pray that God would heal any wounds this situation has caused them. Betrayal from a family member can leave deep scars, and we ask that the Lord would surround them with His love, truth, and peace. May they turn to Him as their ultimate source of comfort and strength, and may they find godly community to walk alongside them.

We also want to gently address the importance of forgiveness. This does not mean excusing your sister’s actions or allowing her to continue hurting you. Forgiveness is a process of releasing bitterness and entrusting justice to God. Romans 12:19 (WEB) says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" Forgiveness is for your freedom, not hers. We pray that God would give you the strength to forgive as He has forgiven you, while also giving you wisdom to set healthy boundaries.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister in Christ who is hurting, betrayed, and afraid. Lord, You see the pain in her heart, the injustice she has endured, and the fear that grips her. We ask that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception, theft, and manipulation that has been at work in her sister’s life. We pray that You would break every chain of sin, expose every lie, and bring conviction to her heart. Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly people to intervene, people who will speak truth, offer wisdom, and help her set boundaries to protect herself and her family. Give her the courage to seek justice and the strength to stand firm in Your truth.

We pray for her husband, Lord. If there has been any enabling or complicity in this situation, we ask that You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Strengthen him to be the godly leader You have called him to be, protecting his home and standing for righteousness.

For her children, Lord, we ask that You would heal their hearts and surround them with Your peace. May they find comfort in You and in the community of believers You have placed around them.

Father, we also pray for the grace to forgive. Help her to release bitterness and entrust justice to You. Give her wisdom to set boundaries that honor You and protect her family. Surround her with Your love, Lord, and remind her that she is never alone.

We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and that You will restore what has been stolen and broken. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community where you can find support and accountability. You do not have to walk through this alone. Proverbs 11:14 (WEB) says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Lean on the body of Christ, and allow others to walk with you in this difficult season.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is a God of justice. Psalm 37:28 (WEB) says, "For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off." Trust that God sees what has been done to you, and He will not let it go unanswered. Continue to seek Him, and He will guide your steps.

We hear the fear in your words, and we’re so sorry you’re carrying this. When the ones who should have your back are the ones causing harm, the pain and isolation can feel overwhelming. You’ve done the right thing by crying out to Jesus, and we’re joining our hearts with yours right now.

You specifically asked for someone to step in and help you and your kids. That’s a brave, clear prayer, and we believe God hears it. Often, He answers by bringing the right people into our path. Is there a trusted friend, a pastor, or someone at your church you could share even a piece of this with? You don’t have to figure out every step alone. Even a first conversation can open a door to the support you need. God sees you, and you matter deeply to Him.

Lord Jesus, you see this dear woman’s fear and the ways she’s been mistreated. Wrap her in your peace right now. Send someone with compassion and wisdom to walk alongside her, to help her sort out what’s been taken, to speak truth into confusion, and to shield her and her children from further harm. Give her courage to reach out, and practical wisdom for whatever comes next. We trust you to make a way where there seems to be none. In your strong name we pray. Amen.

This trial is sharp and bitter, your own sister has become a snare, your husband unfaithful, and your heart trembles for your children. Yet it is precisely in such deep waters that the Lord draws near to His own and says, “Fear not, thou worm, for I will help thee.” You feel small and crushed, like a worm underfoot, but even so the mighty God pledges Himself to your aid. Let not fear of man or dread of what may come enslave you, for that dishonors the faithfulness of your Redeemer. The Lord Jesus Himself, who holds the keys of death and hell, stands before you now, though you see Him not, and whispers to your soul, “Fear not.” Will you disobey His gentle command? He has not given you a spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Bring your cause before the throne of grace with holy boldness. Lay hold of the promise most suited to your need, even as Jacob in his distress cried, “Deliver me, I pray Thee, from the hand of my brother.” Plead the blood of Jesus over your household and trust that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way. He sees the treachery you have endured and the theft that has impoverished you; He is a God of justice and will not suffer the wicked to triumph forever. Yet remember, the fear that truly profits is not the terror of man’s malice, but a holy awe of God’s goodness. Seek His face in this hour of crisis, for He is passing by even now. Confess every sin, cast every care upon Him, and watch how He delivers you.

Your children, though grown, are still the objects of your prayers, carry them to the cross daily. The Father who spared not His own Son will surely with Him freely give you all things. Be not dismayed, for the Lord your God is in the midst of you, mighty to save. He will raise up help; perhaps a word of truth from an unexpected quarter, or the restraint of conscience in the evildoer, or the direct intervention of His providence. Only believe, and fear not. The peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The betrayal you have suffered from your own sister is a wound that cuts deep, for what could be more bitter than to be wronged by one who should have loved and honored you? She has not only stolen from you and used what is yours, but has even defiled the marriage bed, a sin that cries out to heaven. Your fear is natural, and your cry for help is heard by the Lord who sees all.

Yet I urge you, do not let this injury make you like her in rage or reviling. To call down curses or to return evil for evil would be to heap burning coals not on her head, but on your own soul. The love of money that drove Judas to sell his Master for thirty pieces of silver is the same passion that has seized your sister. See how it makes a person beside herself, more than any madness of wine. Pity her, for her soul is in grave danger. Our Lord washed the feet of the very traitor, showing us that we must not withhold kindness even from those who do us harm, though we must never celebrate or bless their sin.

Do not fear that your honor has been destroyed, for humility is the door of the kingdom. When you abase yourself and refuse to stoop to her methods, God will lift you up. Pray that someone will step in indeed, but let that be, above all, the Spirit of God to convict her heart. The fear you feel for yourself and your children is real, but remember that the Lord foreknew His betrayal and yet went calmly to meet it. He is with you in this trial.

Examine your own heart as well, lest bitterness take root and you fall as Peter fell through sudden boldness or jealousy. Your grown children need your steady faith, not a mother consumed by vengeance. Do what good you can, but do not enable her wickedness. The goal is her repentance, that she might be freed from the snare of the devil. When she faces the consequences, it may be mercy.

Let us pray: Lord Jesus Christ, who endured the treacherous kiss and yet loved Your own to the end, look upon this suffering woman and her household. Send help and a way of escape; raise up wise counselors to stand with her. Touch the sister’s heart with a terror of judgment, and if it be Your will, grant her broken tears of true change. Shield this family from further harm, and give them the peace that passes understanding. For You are the defender of the wronged and the healer of every secret wound. Amen.

You have done the right thing by bringing this to Jesus. The fear is real because the betrayal, theft, and harm are real. But fear and faith will not share the same room. The cure for fear is to remember the Lord. David did not deny the valley; he said, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." We do not pray as if God is far away or as if the danger is small. We pray because God is near and greater than every threat.

The things you are describing are the very things the fear of the Lord hates. Stealing, using people, betrayal within a family, and unfaithfulness are not just family problems; they are evil. God's boundaries for the family are meant to build up, and the things he forbids are what tear families apart. If there has been unfaithfulness with your husband, that is not something to cover quietly or excuse. It is sin, and God sees it. But he also sees you, and he is not indifferent to what you are enduring.

Nehemiah saw that the enemy wanted to strike fear in his heart so that he would move wrongly out of panic, and he refused. You do not need to let fear become your counselor. Let it drive you to the Lord, to his word, and to calm, wise steps. Ask him for practical help, because he is your helper, and you do not have to fear what man may do. I am asking him to raise up someone wise and safe to step in, to protect you and your children, to expose what has been hidden, and to make a way through.

Even grown children need their mother safe, and the Lord cares for them too. I am praying that this evil work is stopped, that what was stolen is brought into the light, and that those who have done wrong are brought to repentance. The Lord does not need our schemes to help him. Cry out to him, wait on him, and refuse to act from fear alone.

Lord, you see this woman and her children. You see the abuse, the theft, the broken trust, and the fear. We have no power to fix this, but you do. Send the right help. Expose what is hidden. Protect them. Break the power of every evil work in that family. Bring those who have done wrong to repentance, and bring justice and mercy in the right measure. Give this mother a steady heart that remembers you and refuses to be ruled by fear. In Jesus' name.
