Beloved of All
The pain and weariness you have carried for years comes through clearly, and it is understandable to feel wounded and alone when you believe you have been slandered, deceived, and financially harmed and no one has stood with you. God sees dishonesty, theft, and the harm done by untrue words, and He does not take those things lightly.
It is also understandable to want God to punish those who have hurt you. Scripture speaks directly to that desire. God says vengeance belongs to Him and He will repay. The hurt can make us want to take that work into our own hands, or to ask God to act exactly as we would act, but we are called to commit our way to the Lord and let Him be the judge. There is a time for God's judgment, and the prophets speak of a day of vengeance that is in God's heart, yet when Jesus came the first time He stopped before that part of the prophecy and offered atonement and redemption. He came first to save, not to bring final vengeance. That final justice is still future and it rests safely in God's hands, not ours. Your part is to place these people and what they have done into His hands and trust Him to do what is right in His time.
That trust is closely tied to forgiveness. Jesus taught that forgiveness is not a matter of counting how many times, but a matter of the heart and spirit. He illustrated it with a king who forgave a servant an enormous debt, and the measure He gave us is His own forgiveness toward us. He told us to love as He has loved us. That is a high calling, and none of us can do it on our own. God will give the capacity to forgive if we are willing, but we must be willing and ask Him for it. To pray, God take away my bitterness and give me a spirit of forgiveness, is an honest prayer when the heart still feels angry and wants vindication.
Human forgiveness often says I forgive but I will not forget, yet God's forgiveness is different. He says though sins are as scarlet they shall be as white as snow when we turn to Him and confess. Forgiveness comes when we acknowledge what is wrong rather than justify or hide it. That promise is for anyone who turns to God, and it is also the pattern He calls us to follow. To keep holding bitterness harms you more than anyone else. It can eat at your inner life and even affect your body, creating distress that breaks down health. Letting go is not saying what happened was right, it is releasing the right to punish into God's hands so your heart can be free.
You spoke with certainty that these people will never repent. Only God knows a heart and its future. His offer remains that if anyone turns to Him there is cleansing and new life in Christ. The house of Israel once said God's way was not fair because He kept offering mercy, but His mercy is the very reason any of us can be forgiven. It is right to pray for justice and for the truth to be made known, and it is also right to pray that those who have done wrong would come to repentance, even when that seems unlikely. That keeps your heart from being hardened by the desire to see them destroyed.
You also mentioned deception, gaslighting, and the use of spiritual language for gain. Jesus warned in Matthew chapter seven to watch for false prophets who come looking like sheep. It is hard to recognize them by appearance because they look like part of the flock. Often they speak a great deal of truth, which is what makes them deceptive, and the way to test them is by their witness to Jesus Christ and by the fruit of their lives. The apostles also taught to test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false teachings have gone out. One mark they often pointed to is an emphasis on using faith to get money or to take advantage of others. If someone is using spiritual claims to take money or control, that is a serious warning sign. You do well to weigh what you have heard by Scripture, by the character it produces, and by whether Jesus is truly honored.
In this season, ask the Lord to do a few things for you. Ask Him to guard your heart from a vindictive spirit and to give you a willing heart to forgive as you have been forgiven, even as you still seek honesty and accountability. Ask Him to heal the wounds left by slander and financial loss and to provide wise, trustworthy counsel to help you sort practical steps where possible. And entrust both justice and mercy to Him, praying that He would bring truth to light, protect you from further harm, and bring all involved to a place of honesty and repentance if they will receive it.
May the Lord lift this heavy burden from you, wash your heart with His forgiveness, keep you from bitterness, and help you rest in His promise that He sees, He judges righteously, and He redeems. May you know His peace as you leave vengeance to Him and walk in the spirit of forgiveness He gives.
