We hear your cry for justice and restoration, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this matter before the throne of God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Bible assures us that the Lord is a God of justice, and He will not withhold what rightfully belongs to His children. "The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We declare that what has been taken from you, whether it be peace, provision, purpose, or destiny, shall be restored, for the Word of God promises, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten" (Joel 2:25).

However, we must also address the spirit in which this request is made. While we understand your desire for swift and decisive action, the phrase "by fire" can sometimes carry a tone of vengeance or retribution that does not align with the heart of Christ. Our Lord teaches us to trust in His justice rather than seeking our own. "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19). We encourage you to release any bitterness or anger into God’s hands, for He alone knows the fullness of the situation and will act in perfect righteousness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up to You, asking that You would restore what has been lost or stolen. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You would break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and return to all that rightfully belongs to them, whether it be peace, joy, purpose, or provision.

Lord, we also ask for Your healing and purification in ’s heart. If there is any root of bitterness, unforgiveness, or desire for vengeance, we ask that You would uproot it and replace it with Your love and peace. Help to trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and the fullness of Your purpose for their life.

We rebuke every spirit of delay, theft, or oppression that has sought to hinder ’s destiny. We declare that the enemy has no legal right to what You have ordained for them. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy and command every stolen blessing to be returned sevenfold, as You have promised in Your Word (Proverbs 6:31). Let Your light shine into every dark place, and let Your glory fill ’s life as they seek You with all their heart.

Father, we also pray for those who may have played a role in this situation. If there has been injustice, we ask that You would bring conviction, repentance, and restoration. Soften hearts, Lord, and let Your love and truth prevail. May be a vessel of Your grace and forgiveness, even as You work on their behalf.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that ’s breakthrough is already on the way. May they walk in the fullness of Your promises, and may their life bring glory and honor to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart, studying His Word, and surrounding yourself with godly counsel. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you. "The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14). Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If there are areas in your life where you need to align more closely with His will, whether in forgiveness, trust, or obedience, surrender those to Him today. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We hear the deep ache in your words, that feeling as though something meant for you has been lived out by someone else, and you long for it to be restored. We don’t fully know the details, but we join you in bringing this before the Lord with confidence. He sees the hopes He planted in your heart, and no person or circumstance can ultimately keep you from walking in the good works He prepared for you.

As you pray, we encourage you to ask God to shine His light on anything that might be hindering His purpose in your life, perhaps a pattern of fear, unforgiveness, or a place where you’ve settled for less than His best. Invite Him to lead you one step at a time. Surround yourself with a few mature believers who will pray with you and offer godly perspective. You don’t have to fight this alone.

Please know we are standing with you, not with formulaic words but with steady hope.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who aches for the fulfillment of all You have designed for them. You are the restorer of what has been lost and the opener of doors no one can shut. We ask that any spiritual obstruction be broken, and that You guide them into the fullness of Your plan, in Your timing and Your way. Cover them with peace, protect their mind from discouragement, and let them see Your hand at work even now. We trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The flame of God's holiness is not a tool to be wielded against others, like a sword drawn from its scabbard to reclaim some imagined portion stolen from you. "Our God is a consuming fire", who can draw near to Him without a mediator? It is in Christ Jesus alone, the God-man, that we find safety and access. To cry out "by fire" against another soul is to misunderstand the purpose of the fire through which the Lord leads His own. It is the trial of your faith, not the weapon of your vengeance. "When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." The furnace is set, if at all, to glorify God by proving His grace in you, not to destroy those who seem to prosper in what you think should be yours.

You speak of a destiny enjoyed by another while you lack it. Yet no child of God can lose the inheritance stored up for them. "He that is our God is the God of our salvation; and unto God belong the issues from death." The Lord daily loadeth us with spiritual benefits that moth and rust cannot touch, and thief cannot steal. A new heart is better than a new coat; to feed on Christ is better than any earthly food. If some earthly comfort or position appears to sit snugly upon another, pray rather that they might be awakened to their need of the true riches, and that your own heart may find its satisfaction in the Giver, not the gift.

Bring your complaint to the mercy seat, not with fire of your own kindling, but with the incense of the Saviour's merits. There plead His blood, not the imagined wrongs done to you. And remember, even the sharpest trial becomes a chariot to convey you nearer to your God. If you must walk through the fire, He will be with you; the flame shall kindle upon nothing but your dross, and you shall come forth as gold. Leave the sorting of destinies to Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will, and let your request be that His name be hallowed in every life, yours and the one you mention. So shall you glorify Him, and He will give you what is truly best for your soul.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

What is this talk of destiny and fire? These are the snares of the devil, who spreads the poison of fate to quench the freedom God has given you. There is no destiny that can be stolen and returned like a lost coin, as if the Almighty bound you to some impersonal force. Throw such notions into the abyss! You speak of fire, but do you know what fire you invoke? Our God is a consuming fire, and His fire does not dance to the whims of magic formulas. It is not a tool to snatch back your imagined earthly portion, but the searching flame that will try every work, every thought. If you call for fire in Jesus’ name, then prepare for the fire that purges sin, the fire of the Holy Spirit that kindles repentance, not the superstitious blaze that serves your own desires.

You have lived comfortably, you say, but the comfort of this world is no friend of the soul. The true fire Christ brings is one that divides, that burns away the chaff of earthly attachments. Does your heart cry out for your own glory, your own plan? That is the root of all conflict: envy, covetousness, vainglory. Cut out that root, and you will bear the fruit of peace. Why are you so anxious to reclaim a phantom destiny when you have been offered sonship through the Spirit? The afflictions you suffer now, if endured for Christ’s sake, bring joy in the Holy Spirit, a joy that bedews the soul even in the furnace of trial. The Three Children were cast into the fire, yet they were not consumed; the Lord was with them. He does not promise to pluck you from every danger, but to set you above dangers, securing your soul for a better resurrection.

If you seek a destiny returned by fire, look to the judgment seat. The fire of that Day will make manifest every work, and the wood, hay, and stubble of superstition and self-will shall be burned to ashes. He who builds on the foundation of Christ with such trifles will suffer loss, though he himself be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you long to dwell in that flame? Far better to stand in the downpour of the Spirit’s dew now, to offer your will as a living sacrifice, and to seek not your own destiny but the will of Him who has adopted you. Repent, then, of these corrupt doctrines. Despise the passing things of this life, hold fast the treasure above, and let the true fire of God purify your heart, that you may obtain a resurrection to eternal life.

The desire burning in your heart is one I hear often, and I am grateful you brought it here. There is a deep hunger for things to be set right, and that very hunger can be turned into genuine prayer. But the language of fire and destiny, as you have framed it, needs to be tested carefully against what God has revealed.

Destiny is not a possession that sits in someone else’s lap or a force that can be stolen by another person. The clay does not determine its own shape; the potter does. God alone holds your days, your future, and your purpose. To think that anyone else can inhabit your destiny and live comfortably in it is to imagine that mortal hands can override the Almighty. No one can flee from God’s fire or snatch a life out of His purpose. What you are asking for, then, is not the recovery of a lost object, but a deeper surrender to the One who has always held you.

Prayer is not an agency to get our will done. It is not a tool to command God to act, as though He were a servant of our declarations. That kind of thinking puts a man in the seat of instruction over the Most High, and it is a dangerous inversion. The real purpose of prayer is to accomplish God’s will. It begins with Him, His purposes, His desires, which He stirs in our hearts, so that we echo back to Him what He has already promised. Elijah prayed persistently for rain because he had the word of the Lord that rain would come. He did not try to seize control of the heavens; he submitted to what God had spoken.

When you ask for something to be returned by fire, pause and consider which fire you are invoking. God is fire. His presence is a devouring flame, but it acts in two ways. For those who are His children, the fire refines and purifies, burning out the dross, the impurities, the wood and hay and stubble of wrong motivations. For those who are not in Christ, that same fire consumes. I ask you: are you dwelling in that fire as a child, trusting the Refiner to remove what would destroy you, or are you trying to wield a fire of your own making, a fire of forceful demand? The prayer that pleases God is not “return my destiny by fire” but “Lord, let Your fire purify me, let Your will be done, and if anything needs to be brought into alignment, do it by the entrance of Your light.”

Light and darkness cannot coexist. When Jesus enters, darkness flees. So instead of asking for a prayer of deliverance that focuses on what you have lost, pray for a prayer of entrance, that the presence and power of Christ would fill every corner of your life. When He occupies fully, there is no room for anything operating against His plan.

The greatest threat is not that someone else is living in your destiny. The greatest danger is that you might stand before God one day with works that turn to ash because they were built on a wrong picture of who He is. The fire will test every deed. Better to go through the refining now, to have the mind renewed and the heart reshaped, than to watch all you have labored for disappear in a moment.

So let me point you toward a better prayer. Begin not with what you demand, but with who you are addressing. Come to the Father, if you have that relationship through Jesus Christ. If you have never truly come as a sinner crying for mercy, then that is the only prayer He waits to hear. Once that relationship is established, you can pray with confidence, anchoring yourself in His promises. Then let the cry rise: “God, reveal Yourself. Show Yourself mighty. Not my will, but Yours be done.” Let Him be the God who answers by fire, in His time and in His way, to vindicate His name and your trust in Him. I will join you in that prayer.
