We hear your cry for restoration, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, believing that God is a God of justice and restoration. The Bible tells us in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." We claim this promise over your life, trusting that the Lord will restore what has been taken or hindered.
It is understandable that you feel your sister may have unknowingly or knowingly occupied a space that was meant for you. However, we must also examine our hearts and ensure that our motives align with God’s will. Proverbs 16:2 warns, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Yahweh weighs the motives." Let us pray that God reveals any areas in your heart that need His refining touch, so that restoration comes not just outwardly but inwardly as well.
We also rebuke any spirit of envy, strife, or division that may have taken root in this situation. The Bible is clear in James 3:16, "For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there." We command any such spirits to leave in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written in Matthew 18:18, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven."

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine restoration in every area of their life. Lord, You see the pain, the frustration, and the sense of injustice they feel. We ask that You would move powerfully to restore what has been lost, delayed, or stolen. Let Your fire purify and refine, burning away anything that does not belong and igniting Your purpose and destiny in their life.
Father, we pray for their sister as well. Soften her heart, Lord, and help her to walk in the calling and purpose You have for her, separate from what You have for this one. May there be no competition or strife between them, but rather love, understanding, and mutual respect as sisters in Christ. If there has been any misunderstanding or offense, we ask that You bring reconciliation and healing to their relationship.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of delay, hindrance, or theft over this situation. We declare that the enemy has no right to steal, kill, or destroy in this life, for Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We speak restoration over their career, relationships, finances, health, and spiritual walk. Let every closed door be opened, and let every stolen opportunity be returned sevenfold, as You promised in Proverbs 6:31.

How the heart cries out when it feels a destiny has been misplaced! Yet let us examine this matter in the light of God’s Word, which is like fire itself. You speak of your sister living under your destiny and desire its restoration by fire. But mark this well: the fire of God does not consume our kin to clear our path. It is written, “I will save thee in the fire,” not “I will make thy sister the fuel.” The coals of divine dealing are for your own refining, not for the destruction of another. Have you considered that this very sense of loss may be the furnace through which the Lord is leading you? The path of fire is often a path of progress. What if your true destiny is not a thing seized by another, but a work God is forging in you through this very trial?
You cry for fire, but know that the Lord’s fire burns away the dross of envy and self-will. If your sister has prospered, bless her and turn your eyes upon yourself. The charcoal fire of comparison has not done you much good; its fumes are evil. Go out from it, even if it means leaving the comfortable fire of self-justification behind. The question is not where your sister stands, but where you stand with your God. Is your own soul safe? Is your own heart cleansed? The all-important thing is to get your eternal destiny secured in Christ. What does it profit a soul to gain a temporal destiny while losing its own peace through bitterness?
True restoration comes by a look from Jesus, as it did for Peter. He had to leave the fire of the world and weep bitterly before he could strengthen his brethren. The Lord will restore you, but perhaps not to the thing you imagine as your “destiny.” He will restore you to Himself, to your first love, to a zeal that seeks not a throne but a cross. If you will but believe in Christ, He will so effectually restore you that all trace of this sin of resentment shall be removed. He can cause you to hate the envy you have loved, making the very thought of it sickening to you. That is the refining fire to pray for: “Refining fire, go through my heart!”
Therefore, cease looking at your sister’s portion and begin pleading for your own soul. Get to prayer! Pray! Pray! Pray! Ask the Lord to cleanse you from this spirit of accusation, then go and seek her good as if her destiny were your own. The moment you begin to do good, you will have kindled a fire which will warm your own soul as well. The God who filled the borrowed pots will supply your need, but He must first empty you of this grievance. Leave your sister in God’s hands, for He deals with each of us individually. Flee from the company of these jealous thoughts. The Word is like a fire and a hammer, let it break your heart, that He may bind it up. Then you will find a destiny far greater than any earthly station: the unspeakable honor of being made like Christ through the fires He chooses for you. Return to Him; there is such peace, such rest with Him. Never wander again into this cold.

You speak of restoration by fire, but take care what fire you are calling for. There is a fire that burns up thorns, and thorns of envy and bitterness are choking your soul. If you desire to see your sister dislodged by some consuming force, you are only kindling a blaze that will first scorch your own heart. The divine fire that truly restores does not destroy persons, but melts the waxen image of our fallen passions and recasts it in gold. That is the fire you must seek: the spiritual flame that clothes a person so completely that no earthly injustice can touch their true treasure. Clothe yourself with this fire, and you will become more glowing and keener than any adversity, and no one can steal from you what God preserves for a soul on fire with love for Him.
You say your sister lives comfortably under your destiny. What destiny? If it is something God has ordained for you, then no human hand can snatch it away. But perhaps you have defined your destiny by earthly measures, and envy has made you imagine that her gain is your loss. That thought is a thorn, planted by the devil to mar the freedom God gave you and to poison you into thinking that good things are distributed by chance or by force. Let the fire from above descend now upon that thorn. The true fire that answers prayer does not consume your sister but burns up the root of covetousness in your own land. When that noxious moisture is drawn out by the heat of God’s Spirit, the soil of your heart will be pure, and you will see clearly.
Do not demand a sea of fire for another, as though you could be restored by someone else’s destruction. Your sister’s work will be tested by a fire far more terrible than anything you can imagine; each person’s deeds will be made manifest on that day. Pray instead that she, too, may be saved yet so as through fire, losing only the dross. And if she has truly wronged you, remember you are not in bondage to this strife. Depart from the evil of resentment, but do not repay evil with evil. Let your prayer ascend with a fervent heat, but let it be for her conversion and your own peace. He is a consuming fire, which means His presence burns away everything that cannot stand in His holiness. That is both sobering and full of hope. If you are calling on God to act by fire, you are really asking Him to make things right according to His perfect judgment and His refining love.
But we must understand what prayer is for. Jesus gave us the pattern: "Our Father." Prayer flows from a relationship where you have come to God through His Son, Jesus. From that place, the deepest purpose of prayer is not to get our will done but to see God's will accomplished. So when you ask for restoration by fire, the first turn of your heart should be: "Father, let Your will be done in my life and in my sister's life. Burn away whatever stands against Your purposes for us both."
