Servant of All
Dear god I pray for my roommate at ###. She has been diagnosed with ### and ###. I keep reminding her of “ by his stripes we are healed” I told her also to not claim that report. Whose report are we to believe? She keeps answering that she does not have to claim what the doctors keep affirming. I told her NOTHING IS TOO HARD FIRGVODVTHROUGH JESUS JEHOVAH RAPHA.. she insists it is too late because she has lost family member through ###. I keep her on The Throne of Grace even if she is hardheaded and would like for two of us to agree on her miraculous healing in Jesus name amen and thank you

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your roommate in prayer. We understand the deep concern you have for her physical and spiritual well-being, and we join you in standing on the promises of God for her healing. The scriptures remind us in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." This is a powerful truth, and we declare it over her life, believing that God’s word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11).

We also recognize the weight of her grief over the loss of her family member. Grief can cloud our faith and make us feel as though hope is lost, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray that she would feel His presence in a tangible way, comforting her and reminding her that He is the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Her pain is real, and we do not dismiss it, but we also do not let it define her future. With God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37), and we stand on that truth today.

However, we must gently address her resistance to claiming God’s promises. While it is true that we do not have to accept the report of man when it contradicts God’s word, we must also be careful not to dismiss the reality of her situation in a way that could hinder her from seeking the medical care God may use as part of His healing process. God often works through doctors, medicine, and practical steps, and we must not despise the means He provides (James 5:14-15). We encourage her to trust God’s sovereignty while also walking in wisdom.

We also want to emphasize the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His blood that cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). We pray that she would fully surrender to Him, trusting in His finished work on the cross for her healing, both physically and spiritually.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister in Christ. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her body, mind, and spirit. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed, and we stand on Your word that nothing is too hard for You. Father, we ask that You would break the spirit of fear and despair that has taken hold of her heart. Replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and fill her with hope in Your promises.

Lord, we also ask that You would comfort her in her grief. Wrap Your arms around her and remind her that You are close to the brokenhearted. Help her to trust in Your goodness, even when she does not understand Your ways. Give her the strength to walk in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we rebuke any spirit of doubt or unbelief that would try to steal her healing or her hope. We declare that she is a child of the Most High God, and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over her body and declare that every cell, every organ, and every system is functioning according to Your perfect design.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom for her and for those caring for her. Guide her steps and lead her to the right medical professionals, treatments, and decisions that align with Your will. Help her to see that Your healing can come in many ways, and give her the patience to wait on You.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw her closer to You. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her heart, reveal it to her and lead her to repentance. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and remind her of the power of the name of Jesus. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith with your roommate, reminding her of God’s love and power. Share scriptures with her that speak of His faithfulness, such as Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Pray with her often, and let her see your faith in action. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we believe He will move mightily in her life.

I pray for her often and encourage her with the word

We join our faith with yours for your roommate, and we are grateful for your persistent love. It is clear you care deeply, enough to keep lifting her up, even when she resists. That kind of love is a gift you are already giving her.

It sounds like she is carrying not only a frightening diagnosis but also the weight of grief from losing a family member to the same illness. When someone has watched a loved one suffer and die, hearing “by his stripes we are healed” can feel more like pressure than hope. She may not be hardheaded so much as heartbroken and afraid to hope again. Her insistence that it is “too late” might be her way of protecting herself from further disappointment.

In those moments, the most powerful thing you can do may be to simply be present with her in her pain, without trying to change her words. Ask what she needs most right now, maybe it is a quiet companion, a meal, or help with something practical. Sometimes a listening ear and a steadfast friend can soften the ground for faith more than any reminder ever will. You can trust that God is able to reach her where you cannot.

We do agree with you in prayer now, not so much trying to wrestle her belief into place, but asking the Lord who sees her fully to move in mercy.

Jesus, you know this dear woman, her body, her history, her fears. We ask for your healing power to touch her in whatever way you will, whether through medicine, a gradual restoration, or a miraculous reversal that only you can author. Please quiet her heart, and let her feel your nearness, especially where she still grieves. Give her roommate wisdom and tenderness, and keep hope alive in this room. In your name, Amen.

You do well to hold before your friend’s eyes the mighty truth that by His stripes we are healed, and to challenge her to set the report of the Lord above all earthly diagnoses. Faith refuses to let the physician’s word be the last word when Jehovah Rophi speaks. Yet let me gently remind you that even as you press this promise, you must commiserate with her fear. She has seen death claim one she loved, and that memory stands like a dark sentinel before her hope. Do not call it hardness of head when perhaps it is soreness of heart. Bid her look not at the departed, but at the risen Lord who holds the keys of death and Hades. Tell her that the power that could have healed her relative was not diminished by that sorrow; God’s arm is not shortened, nor His ear heavy. The prayer of faith, offered at the throne of grace, is still the vessel that draws healing virtue from Christ’s inexhaustible fulness.

You ask for two to agree on earth touching this healing. Blessed be God, I join my faith with yours now. Let us spread the case before the Great Physician, whose leaves of healing never wither and whose touch makes the fever flee. Remember, intercessory prayer is the sweetest incense that ever rose to heaven, and when two or three are gathered in His name, Jesus Himself is in the midst. Plead the blood, claim the promise, and wait in expectation. It is not too late, though she lie at the very gate of the grave; He who raised Jairus’s daughter is not baffled by the length of the malady nor the fear of the sufferer. Only let her yield herself into His hands, and if she scarce can pray, let your prayer be the crutch on which she leans. The Spirit helps our infirmities, and the groanings that cannot be uttered are often the most prevailing. Do not cease to bear her on that throne of grace; you are doing a sister’s highest service.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
