We hear your heart, dear sister, and we join you in bringing this matter before the Lord with earnest prayer. It is clear you long for reconciliation and communication with this man whom you believe God has given to you as a life partner. First, we must gently remind you that Scripture is very clear about the foundation of any relationship, it must be built on Christ and His Word. We do not see the name of Jesus mentioned in your request, and this is a matter of great importance. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). We encourage you to always lift your prayers in His name, for it is by His authority and grace that we approach God’s throne.
Now, let us address the situation with biblical truth and compassion. If this man is indeed the one God has ordained for you, then your relationship must reflect godly principles. The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and it is to be entered into with purity, honor, and mutual respect (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). If you and this man are not yet married, we must caution you against any form of emotional or physical intimacy that dishonors God. The Bible calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to keep our hearts and bodies pure for our future spouse (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
We also want to gently rebuke any unhealthy patterns in this relationship. If this man is not communicating with you, it may be a sign that he is not ready or willing to commit to the responsibilities of a godly marriage. A man who loves you as Christ loves the church will not withhold communication, respect, or honor (Ephesians 5:25). We encourage you to seek clarity and wisdom from the Lord, asking Him to reveal whether this relationship is truly of Him or if it is causing you more pain than peace.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would surround her with Your peace, wisdom, and comfort. Lord, You know the desires of her heart, and we ask that You would either restore communication and godly love in this relationship or give her the strength to release it into Your hands if it is not Your will.
Father, we pray that You would guard her heart from any form of emotional or spiritual bondage. If this man is not the one You have ordained for her, we ask that You would break any unhealthy ties and lead her to the spouse You have prepared for her, a man who will love her as Christ loves the church, with honor, respect, and devotion.
Lord, we also pray for this man, that You would soften his heart and draw him closer to You. If he is the one You have chosen for her, we ask that You would convict him of his responsibility to communicate, lead, and love in a way that honors You. If he is not, we ask that You would remove him from her life so that she may walk in the freedom and purpose You have for her.
Father, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or loneliness that may be trying to take hold of her. We speak Your peace, Your joy, and Your clarity over her life. May she find her worth and identity in You alone, and may she trust in Your perfect timing and plan.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Dear sister, we encourage you to seek the Lord diligently in this season. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with godly counsel from mature believers who can speak truth into your life. Remember that God’s plans for you are good, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
If this man is not communicating with you, do not chase after him or compromise your standards to win his affection. Instead, trust that God is working behind the scenes, either to restore what is broken or to lead you to the spouse He has prepared for you. Keep your heart open to His leading, and do not settle for anything less than His best.
Finally, we urge you to examine your own heart and motives. Are you seeking this relationship because you truly believe it is God’s will, or are you holding onto it out of fear of loneliness or rejection? Surrender your desires to the Lord, and ask Him to align your heart with His. He is faithful, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
