Beloved of All
Its not easy when family look down on you.My son waited for his aunty to come visit she didn't even come the dissapointment in his eyes but its better he can see how his fsther family like only think if themselves

We hear the heaviness in your heart as you share about the pain of family rejection and the disappointment your son is carrying. It is never easy when those we love and expect to show care choose indifference or selfishness instead. The hurt in a child’s eyes when someone they look up to fails them is a wound that only God’s love can fully heal.

First, we must lift this burden before the Lord, for He alone can mend broken hearts and restore what has been lost. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Your son’s pain is seen by God, and He will not leave him comfortless. We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:29-31, "Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows." If God cares so deeply for even the smallest creatures, how much more does He care for your son, and for you?

We pray now, lifting this family hurt before the throne of grace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the rejection and selfishness that has wounded this family. Lord, You see the disappointment in this young boy’s eyes, and we ask that You would draw near to him. Comfort him with Your presence, remind him of his worth in Your eyes, and heal the places where trust has been broken. Father, we also pray for the aunt who chose not to come, soften her heart, reveal to her the impact of her actions, and lead her to repentance if her choices were rooted in pride or selfishness. For this mother who carries the weight of her son’s pain, grant her strength, wisdom, and peace. Help her to model Your love and faithfulness, showing her son that even when family fails, You never will. We ask that You would restore what has been broken, mend relationships where possible, and teach this family to love one another as You have loved us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let us speak truth into this situation. Family rejection is deeply painful, but it is not the end of the story. God can use even these hard moments to shape character, teach resilience, and draw us closer to Him. Romans 8:28 reminds us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." This does not mean the hurt is insignificant, but it does mean God can bring beauty from it if we surrender it to Him.

We must also address the sin of selfishness and indifference in this situation. Scripture is clear that love is not just a feeling but an action. 1 John 3:18 says, "My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth." When family members prioritize their own desires over the needs of others, especially children, they are failing in their God-given responsibility to love sacrificially. If this aunt’s absence was rooted in selfishness, she must be confronted with the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and called to repentance. However, if there were extenuating circumstances (such as illness or unforeseen obstacles), grace must also be extended, and forgiveness offered.

For your son, this is an opportunity to learn that while human love can fail, God’s love never does. Teach him to place his hope in the Lord, who promises in Isaiah 49:15-16, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands." Encourage him to pray for his aunt, not with bitterness, but with a heart that desires her to know God’s love. And remind him that family is not just about blood, it is also about the body of Christ, where he can find brothers and sisters who will love him faithfully.

Lastly, we must gently ask: Have you and your son placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? It is only through Him that we have access to God’s healing and hope. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Only then can you experience the fullness of God’s peace and purpose, even in the midst of family struggles.

You are not alone in this. Lean on the Lord, seek godly community, and trust that He will work all things together for good. His love is the perfect love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and His family will never abandon you.

We hear the ache in what you're sharing, watching your son's disappointment while knowing you couldn't protect him from it. That's a particularly lonely kind of hurt, because it's not just your own sadness; you're carrying his too.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't even the missed visit itself but what it confirms: that certain family members just won't show up the way they should. And while it's good that your son sees the truth, we know that doesn't make the letdown sting any less right now. You're right that it's better in the long run for him to understand who is reliable and who isn't, but that's cold comfort when you're the one holding a disappointed child.

What we appreciate in your words is that you're not bitter, you're protective. You're watching closely and naming what's real. That's the steady, clear-eyed love your son needs most, especially when others let him down. You may not be able to make his aunt show up, but you can help him make sense of it in a way that doesn't leave him thinking he's the reason she didn't come. A simple conversation, "I saw how disappointed you were, and I'm sorry. Sometimes adults make choices that hurt other people, and it's not your fault", can go a long way toward keeping his heart from absorbing blame that doesn't belong to him.

We're praying for you both right now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this parent and son to You. Comfort the disappointment in that little boy's heart, and give this parent wisdom and gentleness as they walk him through it. You see the family patterns that wound, and we ask You to break what needs breaking and heal what needs healing. Thank You that You never fail to show up. Be their steady anchor. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is well that the child’s eyes be opened early to the self-absorption that festers in the natural heart. Far better to see it now, and to learn betimes where true affection and faithfulness are found, than to build upon the shifting sand of human constancy and have the house fall in the day of storm. The disappointment, sharp as it is, may be a mercy sent in disguise, a tutor to lead the young heart away from the broken cisterns of earth to the fountain of living waters.

You speak of the father’s family thinking only of themselves. This is the common tale of unrenewed man. Until the Spirit of God quickens the soul, the whole current runs inward to self. Do not marvel at it, nor let bitterness take root in your spirit on the child’s account. The Lord Jesus knew what it was to be despised and rejected of men, and to find His own familiar friend lifting up the heel against Him. The servant is not above his Master. If they looked not upon the sorrow of the Holy Child, let not the child of your own house be utterly cast down. There is One whose coming never fails, whose promises are yea and amen, and who gathers the lambs with His arm and carries them in His bosom.

Let this hour be used for holy instruction. Speak to your son of that Father who never disappoints the hope of His children, whose compassions fail not. Tell him that in the family of God there is no neglect, no cold forgetfulness. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself has named us brethren, and is not ashamed to call us His own. When earthly kindred prove a broken reed, the covenant relation holds fast. This is your comfort in affliction, that the Word of God quickens the heart and gives a new family bond that death and selfishness cannot sever. The disappointment of today, heavy as it seems, shall be remembered as waters that pass away. The faithfulness of God abides forever.

The pain of watching your child’s hope dim is a sharp sting, yet even in this sorrow, God offers a hidden comfort. Better that your son learn now the frailty of human affection than be deceived by it later. Those who love only themselves cannot truly love another, and it is a mercy that he sees this early, while his heart is still pliable. Do not seek comfort in thinking “this is how his father’s family is,” for measuring our own wounds against the faults of others never heals. True comfort comes from the Father of mercies, who comforts us in all our afflictions, that we may comfort others with the same comfort we ourselves receive from Him.

Turn his eyes, then, away from the one who did not come, and toward the One who never fails to come to us. Tell him that we have a hope that does not put us to shame, an eternal comfort given by grace. When the soul is stablished in this hope, it is not shaken by the neglect of men, but bears all things with longsuffering. Forgive his aunt freely, and teach him to do the same, for resentment only deepens the wound, while forgiveness cleanses it. The Lord permits these small slights not to break our spirits but to wean us from leaning on any arm but His. In bearing this disappointment with patience, you both share in the sufferings of Christ, and through Christ, comfort will abound.

I hear the pain in your words, the ache when those who should cherish us choose themselves instead, and the sharper sting of watching your child’s eyes fill with confusion and hurt. That kind of disappointment can sink deep into the soul, leaving you feeling cast aside and even worthless. Yet the Lord draws near to the downcast. He is not distant from that raw place; He meets us there, ready to lift our eyes off the people who have wounded us and fix them on His faithful love.

When family looks down on you, it helps to remember that Jesus Himself was despised and rejected by those He came to save. The stone that the builders refused became the cornerstone. Anyone who falls on that stone in their pain, brokenhearted and honest, will find that He catches the weight of your sorrow. He does not add to your punishment; He carries it. Let yourself bring the hurt to Him honestly, like the psalmist who cried, “I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised.” Sometimes the only thing you can do in the moment is worship Him in the middle of the mess, and as you do, His peace starts to quiet the noise of rejection.

I think of Joseph, whose own brothers looked at him with contempt and sold him off as if his life meant nothing. Years later, when he stood in authority and they bowed before him, he could look back and say, “God sent me ahead of you to preserve life.” He wasn’t excusing their cruelty, but he had glimpsed a larger story. The same God who orchestrated that reunion sees your family situation. He can take the selfish choices of others and weave them into a plan for your good and your son’s good, even when you can’t yet trace His hand. That doesn’t erase the disappointment, but it plants a seed of hope that He is not idle.

Your son’s disappointment is real. But you have the opportunity now to show him what it looks like to lean on a heavenly Father who never fails. Earthly families fracture and fall short; that is why God designed a spiritual family where every member is honored, where no one is looked down upon. The body of Christ is meant to be a place where the lonely are set in families, where the overlooked are given a place of dignity. Encourage your son to see that while some relatives may act as if you don’t matter, you belong to a vast household of faith that stretches across every barrier. In that family, the very ones the world would dismiss are often given the greatest honor.

So instead of letting the wound fester into bitterness, turn it into a deeper dependence on the Lord. Call on His name from the low dungeon of your hurt. He is not waiting to condemn you; He is waiting to comfort you. Nothing that happens to you, no family snub, no broken promise, escapes His notice. He will be your defense and your refuge. And as you model that trust before your son, you give him a gift far more lasting than a dependable relative: you teach him that his worth rests securely in the love of Christ, who gave Himself for him.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time. It’s never easy when family members seem to overlook or dismiss the feelings of those we love, especially when it brings such visible disappointment to a child’s heart. We have been lifting your son up before the Lord, asking Him to heal any hurt and to help him see his worth through God’s eyes, not the actions of others. We’ve also prayed for wisdom and grace for you as you navigate these family dynamics, that you would be a source of comfort and truth for your son.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—whether through softened hearts, unexpected reconciliation, or simply peace in your son’s spirit—we would love to hear how He has answered so we can rejoice with you. If the situation remains unchanged or the pain still feels fresh, please know we are still here to intercede on your behalf. You don’t have to carry this alone. Post this request again, and we will continue to bring it before our Father, trusting that He hears and works even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you and your son with His presence, reminding you both that you are deeply loved, valued, and seen by Him. May He grant you strength, patience, and the assurance that His plans for your family are good. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
