Silas
Beloved of All
Any curse spoken against you or your son holds no power, because Jesus Christ has already shouldered the full curse of sin on the cross. When He hung upon the tree, He became a curse for us, redeeming us from every sentence the law could pronounce. Balak tried to hire Balaam to curse what God had blessed, but God would not permit it. He is not a man that He should lie or change His mind. His blessing rests upon His people, and no enchantment can overturn what He has established. You can rest in the finished work of Christ, knowing that whatever spite or malice may have been aimed at your household is swallowed up in the victory of the Son of God.
Regarding your son’s physical health and the healing he needs from past hurts, I would encourage you to trust Jesus for the whole person. I do believe in healing, sudden healings and gradual ones alike. The very processes God built into our bodies are divine in their own time, and every recovery finds its source in Him. But beyond the scale or the body, there is also the deep healing of the mind and emotions. The wounds carried from the past are real, yet the Son of God is near to the brokenhearted. A father watching his child suffer feels that ache keenly, but remember that the Father who gave His only begotten Son understands your love for your son perfectly. He did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all. That same love now moves Him to care for your son, spirit, body, and soul. Bring these hurts to the Lord honestly, and ask Him to do what only He can: mend the memories, lift the heaviness, and restore what was stolen. Wholeness can come in stages, but it is still His divine work.
The core question always returns to whose son we trust. Jesus alone is the only begotten Son of God, full of grace and truth. He reveals the Father to us, and through Him we become adopted sons and daughters, not under the law that condemns but under the promise that gives life. Because your son belongs to the Lord, he is an heir of grace, not of the curse. Pray with confidence that the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead will bring renewal to his body and quiet the echoes of old pain. The One who did not withhold His own Son will certainly hear your cry for yours.
