We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the mention of curses with biblical truth. The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" Through Jesus' sacrifice, we are no longer under any curse, for He has broken every chain. We rebuke in the name of Jesus any suggestion that curses have power over those who are in Christ. The enemy has no authority where the blood of Jesus has been applied.
We stand firm on the promise of Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord." We declare that every assignment of darkness against this family is dismantled now in Jesus' mighty name.
For the precious son mentioned here, we lift up his physical health with great compassion. The Lord desires wholeness for His children, as 3 John 1:2 tells us, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, asking God to reveal any root causes, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, that may be contributing to this struggle. May He grant wisdom to make godly choices regarding nutrition and exercise, and may His strength be made perfect in weakness.
We also bring before the Lord the deep wounds of past hurts. Psalm 147:3 assures us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask for the healing balm of the Holy Spirit to touch every memory of pain, rejection, or trauma. May the love of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, fill every empty place and bring restoration to his soul. We pray for godly counsel and fellowship to surround him, that he may experience the truth of Proverbs 13:20, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."
Father, we ask that You would draw this young man closer to Your heart. Reveal to him the depth of Your love and the purpose You have for his life. May he find his identity in Christ alone, not in the opinions of others or the pain of his past. We declare over him the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also pray for the mother who submitted this request. May she find peace and assurance in God’s sovereignty over her family. Strengthen her faith as she stands in intercession, and fill her with wisdom to guide her son with grace and truth. May she rest in the promise of Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Lord, we thank You that You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who delivers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May this family walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs in Christ Jesus. In His precious and powerful name we pray, believing that every chain is broken and every curse is nullified. Amen.
