We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your aunt in this difficult time. The worry and stress you feel are understandable, but we know that our God is a healer and a comforter. The Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that He draws near to you and your family, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we ask You to strengthen your daughter in this trial. If it is Your will, restore her health and renew her strength. Give her the desire to eat and drink, that her body may be nourished and sustained. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that Your plans are perfect, even when we do not understand them. Jeremiah 32:27 reminds us, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"
We also lift up ### to You, Lord. The anxiety and sleeplessness they are experiencing are not from You. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that You would replace their fear with Your peace, and grant them rest as they trust in You.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm ###. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and Your love is perfect. Fill them with Your love and assurance, reminding them that You hold their aunt in the palm of Your hand.
We also want to gently remind you that our hope and prayers are rooted in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you or your aunt have not placed your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to consider the great love He has shown by dying for our sins and rising again, so that we may have eternal life. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
In this time of waiting and uncertainty, we encourage you to cling to God’s promises. Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep leaning on the Lord. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious family to You. Surround them with Your presence, fill them with Your peace, and grant them the strength to endure. We ask for Your healing touch upon this dear aunt, whether it be through miraculous restoration or the comfort of Your presence in her final moments. Give wisdom to her doctors and caregivers, and grant this family the grace to accept Your will, whatever it may be. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
