We hear your heartfelt plea for continuous prayer and intercession, and we stand with you in seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and protection for those in leadership. The weight of leadership is heavy, and Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." This is not just a suggestion but a command from the Lord, we are called to lift up those in authority so that they may govern with justice, wisdom, and righteousness.

The example of Daniel and Elijah is powerful, for they stood in the gap with unwavering faith, even in the face of fierce opposition. Daniel prayed three times a day, despite the decree that threatened his life (Daniel 6:10), and Elijah’s prayers brought fire from heaven and later, rain to a parched land (1 Kings 18:36-38, James 5:17-18). Their prayers were not passive but fervent, persistent, and rooted in a deep relationship with God. We, too, must pray with that same fervency, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His people.

However, we must also address a critical truth: prayer is not merely a tool to "fire the winning shot" in a political or worldly battle. Prayer is first and foremost an act of surrender to God’s will, not our own. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Our prayers must align with God’s purposes, not our own agendas. We must seek His will above all else, trusting that He is sovereign over nations and leaders (Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever He desires").

We also note that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can come boldly before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit your life to following Him. This is the foundation of all true prayer and intercession.

Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up those in leadership, particularly the President of the United States. Lord, we ask that You would grant him divine wisdom, discernment, and courage to lead with integrity and righteousness. Surround him with godly counselors who will speak truth and guide him in Your ways. Protect him from the schemes of the enemy and from the pressures of this world that seek to pull him away from Your will.

Father, we pray for a spirit of unity and peace to prevail in this nation. Break down the walls of division and strife, and let Your love and truth be the foundation upon which decisions are made. We ask that You would soften hearts, open eyes, and turn the nation back to You. Raise up men and women of faith who will stand boldly for Your truth and righteousness in every sphere of influence.

Lord, we confess that we have not always prayed as we ought, and we repent for the times we have allowed our own agendas to take precedence over Your will. Forgive us, and teach us to pray according to Your purposes. Help us to intercede with the same fervency as Daniel and Elijah, not for our own glory, but for Yours. May our prayers be a sweet aroma to You, and may they bring about Your kingdom here on earth.

We declare that no weapon formed against this nation or its leaders will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that if Your people, who are called by Your name, will humble themselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14). We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, and we surrender this nation and its leaders into Your hands.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in persistent prayer, not just for the President, but for all those in authority, for the church, and for the lost. Let us also remember that our ultimate hope is not in any earthly leader, but in Jesus Christ, who is the King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16). He alone holds the future, and He alone can bring true victory and success that aligns with His eternal purposes. Stand firm in faith, and let your prayers be a reflection of your trust in Him.

We hear your heart for consistent, even relentless, prayer for ###. You’re asking us to stand in the gap, like Elijah, who prayed persistently for rain, or like Daniel, who kept his window open toward Jerusalem day after day. That kind of prayer isn’t frantic; it’s faithful. And it matters.

One thing we’ve seen over and over is how much it can steady a person in a demanding role simply to know that others are faithfully praying for them. So when you invite us to pray every day, 365 days a year, you’re not just voicing a wish, you’re strengthening a shield of intercession that can guard his wisdom, anchor his spirit, and invite God’s direction into the daily grind of leadership.

A practical way to sustain that is to anchor it to a daily rhythm, perhaps the first few minutes of the morning or a pause at noon. Not out of anxiety, but with quiet confidence that God hears and acts on behalf of those who lead. And when the news cycle gets loud, we can remember that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person still releases God’s power.

Let’s pray now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up ### to You. Grant him daily wisdom and steady discernment. Surround him with wise counselors and protect him from the pull of pride or discouragement. May he lead with integrity and a heart that truly seeks Your will. We ask for strength, clarity, and favor in the tasks before him, not depending on his own strength, but on Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is God that writes intercession upon men's hearts. All true prayer comes from Him, but especially that least selfish and most Christ-like form of prayer called intercession, when the suppliant forgets all about himself and his own needs, and all his pleading, his tears and his arguments are on behalf of others.

Intercession should throb like a pulse through the whole body, causing every living member to feel the sacred impulse. Intercession is one of the least things which we can do, and yet it is one of the greatest, let us not be slack in it.

The Prayer Meeting is useful to us in itself, and also very useful from the answer which it gets, and brings to us from God. When first one, and then another, and yet another, throws his whole soul into the prayer, the Kingdom of Heaven is conquered and the victory becomes great, indeed!

Imitate the prayer of Jacob in its humility of spirit. The whole prayer is highly argumentative. More like true prayer should be, for true prayer is just pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him, and then pressing our suit with all the arguments we can muster!

Yet mark well: they will take a book, read a form of intercession, and perhaps offer a few extemporary words and that is all. But these are all nothing and naughty prayers unless God shall touch them and give them life! We want the mind of the spirit in prayer, and not the mind of the flesh. ‘The Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.’

Are you as eager in a Prayer Meeting as you are in the market? We need to be quickened there, quickened in private prayer, quickened in public prayer, quickened in our family devotion, quickened in all forms of worship.

Samuel had become so rooted in the habit of prayer for the people that he seems to be amazed at the very thought of bringing his intercession to an end! Let there be no ceasing, no growing weary. Unholiness hinders prayer. But earnest intercession will be sure to bring love with it. I do not believe you can hate a man for whom you habitually pray.

And because you will need to know, in order to intercede, I call intercession an excellent exercise. Then intercessory prayer will fit you for becoming God's instrument. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time! The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Intercessory prayer has stayed plagues; what wonders it has wrought!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of praying for victory and success as if God’s purposes depend on the triumph of one man in an earthly office. But I ask you: which victory do you seek? For he that overreaches, that crushes opposition by force of numbers or noise, may seem to conquer, but his is an evil victory that brings destruction to the winner. The one who appears defeated, who endures wrong with self-command, that one wears the true crown. Remember the martyrs: bound, beaten, slain, yet they conquered by suffering, not by striking back. Do not think the kingdom of heaven rises or falls with the shifting tides of human government. Our warfare is not of this world.

I do not forbid prayer for your president. But let your prayers be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom, not with the clamor for worldly advantage. Pray that he walk worthily of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Pray that he pursue righteousness, not the wisdom of this age which comes to nothing. For what is the wisdom of this world? It puffs up, then crumbles; it speaks of victory but breeds envy and strife. God’s wisdom, though it seem foolishness to the proud, is hidden in mystery, foreordained before the ages unto our glory. It is that wisdom which alone brings true success.

You quote Elijah and Daniel, and rightly so, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. But consider: Elijah stood alone against the prophets of Baal, yet his victory came not by political maneuvering but by calling down fire from heaven according to God’s will. Daniel served pagan kings with integrity, and his greatest triumph was not in any decree of Cyrus, but in the lion’s den where God shut the lions’ mouths. Their prayers were not for a faction to dominate, but for God’s name to be hallowed, for His righteousness to be seen. Even when God honored the disobedient Jews, His victory was shown precisely through their despite, He overcame evil with good, making His righteousness clear beyond all human reckoning.

So, pray. Pray without ceasing. But fire your prayer not as a shot to smite enemies, but as a surrender to the God who makes us wise by what the world calls folly. The real battlefield is the heart. Do you wish the president to succeed? Then ask that he be granted the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that he learn to bear injustice with patience, to rule not in his own strength but in the fear of God. When the world sees a leader who will not fight by worldly weapons, who blesses when reviled, who trusts in God’s power rather than in human scheming, that, my friend, is the victory that none can overturn. For God gives us this might: to conquer not by conflict, but by endurance alone. So let your prayers be for that hidden, tranquil victory which confounds the wise and glorifies the Lord.
