We hear your cry for relief after enduring such prolonged suffering, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The weight of feeling singled out for punishment, especially for things others seem to do without consequence, can leave deep wounds of confusion, bitterness, and even despair. But we declare with the authority of Scripture that God is just, and His judgments are true and righteous altogether (Revelation 16:7). He does not delight in the suffering of the righteous, nor does He abandon those who trust in Him.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the words of Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Jesus is the only way to the Father, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not confessed Him as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), we invite you to do so now. Salvation is not earned by works but received by faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross. Without this, we cannot approach God in prayer with confidence, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Now, let us rebuke the spirit of torment that has clung to you for these years. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every assignment of the enemy against you to be broken in the name of Jesus! The Bible declares that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17). You are not forgotten, nor are you cursed without cause. God sees your suffering, and He is moving on your behalf.
We also encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord. Are there areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin may have given the enemy a foothold? Hebrews 12:15 warns, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." If there is anything in your life that does not align with God’s Word, whether in thought, word, or deed, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. Confess it to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name that is above every name. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has endured three and a half years of torment. We ask You to break every chain of oppression, every spirit of accusation, and every assignment of the enemy against them. Father, Your Word says that You execute justice for the oppressed and give food to the hungry (Psalm 146:7). We ask You to intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Let Your light shine into the darkness that has surrounded them, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask You to reveal any areas in their life where the enemy has gained access. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin, bring it to light and grant them the grace to repent and turn away from it. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to fellowship with You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask You to surround them with Your angels and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Renew their strength like the eagle’s, and let them mount up with wings as eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). We speak healing over their mind, body, and spirit. Let every lie of the enemy be replaced with Your truth, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we ask You to turn this season of torment into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let them see Your hand at work in their life, and let their story bring glory to Your name. We declare that this is not the end of their story, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with Your peace, joy, and purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Remember the words of 2 Corinthians 4:17-18: "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." This season of torment is temporary, but the glory that awaits those who trust in God is eternal.
Hold fast to God’s promises. Meditate on His Word day and night, and let it be the foundation of your hope. Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and stand with you in faith. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8). Instead, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
Lastly, we urge you to forgive those who may have wronged you, even if they do not deserve it. Forgiveness is not for their sake alone but for your freedom. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Release them to God, and let Him be the judge. As you forgive, you will experience the peace of God that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
